Union Bank of India RuPay Select Debit Card - How to get?

I'm looking to get the cheapest possible RuPay Select debit card since my Amazon Prime membership has expired and I need it as soon as possible.

I was earlier looking to get PNB RuPay Select debit card but when I found that w.e.f. 5th June, 2023, annual charges has been increase from Rs. 500 + 18% GST to Rs. 750 + 18% GST, I'm not chasing it anymore.

Next option available for me is, change my Bank of Baroda Advantage Savings Account (Rs. 2k MAB) to Super Savings Account (Rs. 20k MAB) or Professional Savings Account (Rs. 25k MAB) and avail RuPay Select debit card as FYF and from second year onwards for Rs. 500 + 18% GST.

Another one is, opening a savings account with Union Bank of India which currently offers RuPay Select DC at lowest possible price for annual charge of Rs. 400 + 18% GST. My query is, which savings account variant should be opened to get the DC as from the following link, I can see only high MAB requirement account variants (Rs. 1 lac or more) show RuPay Select DC is available. Someone who has any experience with this, can throw some light on this please?
 
I have applied on 13th Sep 2023. We are on the same boat. No SMS that the card is dispatched. When I check with customer care they are telling to wait for 15 - 20 working days.

@Abhishek012 Is there any appearance changes for the DC design. Taking quite long time.
I got the same reply, to wait for 15 days. I find BoB's mobile banking app to be really really good but then the service seems pathetic. It's been only a week but I've never had this kind of silence from any bank's end while requesting for a debit card. Also, the fact that I could see the card details in the app from 2nd or 3rd day onwards, it means there's some delay in-between the process.

I was also lured by their UI in Mobile Banking. Net banking was Pathetic to see. Agree to your point there is a delay in service.

I'm still clueless with what's going on, speed post generally arrives in 3 days, things are getting weird day-by-day 🫠
I think your parcel is not scanned at the first collection centre so you are not able to track it. I searched using the AWB mentioned on the post.

They have booked at the Vashi BPC on 21st Sep and it was delivered today

did you tracking number start with AY ?

I've never seen speed post tracking number start with AY
 
Bro I got inspired by your thread & opened a Professional savings account on 25 Sept.
Its been 3 days, the app doesn't reflect debit card details till now & states an error for not availability.

I have a few queries to confirm with you all:

1. Do we need to request for a debit card separately?

2. How did you got it FYF on Super Savings account?

3. I got the tracking ID for the welcome kit today itself. Will it be having Debit card enclosed with it?

1. Do we need to request for a debit card separately?
A : Most probably not since according to BoB, it clearly says FYF RuPay Select DC for Professional Savings A/C

2. How did you got it FYF on Super Savings account?
A : Because I applied for physical DC after converting from Advantage Savings A/C to Super Savings A/C and according to T&Cs of Super Savings A/C, DC is FYF

3. I got the tracking ID for the welcome kit today itself. Will it be having Debit card enclosed with it?
A : No idea as I had opened Advantage Savings A/c online initially and didn't opt for anything except for mobile banking and internet banking ... so, I got welcome kit enclosed with practically nothing, not even passbook.

Even I had some issues like you faced.

If you have registered for BOB world, kindly go to the app settings and give refresh operative accounts. This is kinda strange but u have to do it in BOB.

Also order virtual DC first, only then I was able to see the other physical card the Branch has ordered me.

Again this is also weird. Their backend needs to be improved a lot. Frontend is decent compared to major private banks.

But atleast they have a workaround to resolve. Refresh operative accounts.

@avis_ ... no movement at all, almost 2 days and no new entry

both bank and logistics partner are govt. entities which is why it's a disastrous formula ... first bank delays and then Dept. of Post delays 🫠
Atleast you got tracking number bhai. In my case I was stranded with nothing 😭. It haunted me a lot. Branch guys telling one thing and customer care different level.

Only thing is time we have to wait atleast a month with these PSU banks for everything. I opened the account on Sept 5, it took them 21 days for delivering the Premium debit card. 😅
 
Bro just received the text from India Post for the booking confirmation. I hope to receive it soon.
BNPL AMPC refers to Delhi.
