Upgrade Alert: Yes Bank Reserve Card LTF to Marquee LTF - Free Upgrade Process

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share a recent experience in case anyone is interested in getting a free upgrade to the Yes Bank Marquee Credit Card (LTF - Lifetime Free).

I started with the Yes Bank Reserve Credit Card LTF. But I decided to request an upgrade to the Yes Bank Marquee Credit Card LTF, which typically comes with a ₹9,999 annual fee. To my surprise, the upgrade was approved and I was able to get the Marquee Card with Lifetime Free (LTF) status!

Here’s a quick summary of what I did:

1. Initial Card: Yes Bank Reserve Card (LTF)
2. Upgrade Request: Contacted Yes Bank customer support at yestouchcc@yesbank.in and requested an upgrade to the Yes Bank Marquee Credit Card.
3. Outcome: Got the upgrade approved with no annual fee (LTF).

Edit 1: 18-Dec-2024 : Got today email that there was technical issue going on where many customers got free LTF without asking, so they reverted my card to Reserv, As I have email confirmation, I told them to reactivate / reissue marquee card. Will keep posted here as it progress. From my understanding the technical issue coincided with the date range of my LTF request. Emailed nodal office and PNO, waiting for revert.

Edit2: 06-jan-2024: Still no update from PNO or any department. If I don't get response, I may proceed to escalate to RBI

I was denied. they said minimum 24 lakhs salary as a condition and that too if you are sent a notification. Since they are all devalued, I am ok with it & I would want a RuPay card which Marquee is not available on. So I am ok with Reserv

For sure, I have email confirmation. I am just waiting to get this issue fixed.. If not, as usual escalation process to RBI 🙂

Received a reply asking for ITR of over 36L. Upon sharing they replied that I am eligible for a paid variant with INR 9,999 fee. Replied asking for any criteria to make it LTF.

Mailed them for upgrade, received this reply:

regarding Upgrade of your YES BANK Credit Card.

We would like to inform you that, in case of any upgrade in future or transfer to another variant of Card, the fees and charges specific to the variant will be applicable. Kindly give us E-mail Consent or the same.
Further, we request you to kindly refer t he below link for MARQUEE card detail.

Got an upgrade message - they upgraded without my consent - when I called them to question on this, the Team confirmed its LTF.

Reserv is better for rewards with 3X subscription. But Marque has unlimited lounge + 4 Guest visit per year, along with 800*3 Bookmyshow tkt free per month
Depending on rewards you are looking for, you can choose the card

3X/5X/3%/4% sound nice in discussions but the sorrow storm hits at the time of redemption. After seeing 10-15p value against most categories one goes into the guilt trip of not spending money on a better, more rewarding card. Get cards like Reserv or Marquee only for non spend based benefits like movies and international lounge access, for rest they are super trash products.

Do you know what is hot card upgrade is?

In the subject it's mentioned as yes marquee LTF but nothing mentioned in body of email regarding charges.

Did you have to email them again mentioning that you want LTF marquee
card
