For the heavy spenders, this is a great deal since you get multiple loyal hotel loyal memberships and do anything concierge service.

If you don't spend a lot of money but feel the points can help, you can still upgrade for the points.

In my case upgrade on Plat travel asked to fill in the form, no VKYC and got approved. Depends on the executive who calls you.

I hold Plat Travel and when I applied for the upgrade via the link they shared, I was asked to do VKYC immediately after submitting the application. If you have a Gold Charge, I think the VKYC may not be needed, but not sure. Check with Customer support in a day if you don't hear anything.

Plat travel even if u meet milestone you need to pay fee but u can negotiate and some times they will reduce 50 percent fee which happened to me this time
Mrcc if u meet milestone 1.5 lakhs full fee wavier .90k 50 percent waiver . But am wondering how most are getting companion card when I ask they say one who receives invite will get it and now they don't have the concept.

They insisted I need a govt ID card. Not taking rental agreements, broadband bills or anything of that sort.

Understood, actually I had asked about the companion card just to understand whether its being referred to the other card being "complimentary"

Okay. same thing with me. Restart the application with a new Phone number. Enter the address as mentioned in your Aadhar. It should be fine. Even if the pin code is not serviceable by Amex, for upgrade it will work. Worked for me.

I think complimentary is not there but you do can ask amex rep sometimes they would agree and mostly they reject. Normally it would not be referred .

I think complimentary is not there but you do can ask amex rep sometimes they would agree and mostly they reject. Normally it would not be referred .

Finally got Amex platinum charge card approved.

Platinum Travels stays, Gold Charge card stays. New Trifecta Plat Charge, Gold Charge, Plat Travel.

@D7162 your contact escalation worked. The guy who called was very helpful and Plat travel is companion card to plat charge card now. Even on 24-25L ITR also they accepted. @V360 seems you’re right on aggressive approval, anyways done with this process.

How is the Gold Charge Card still staying? They upgraded my GOLD Charge to Plat Charge and are claiming that one cannot have both.

I accepted their offer for Plat Charge upgrade from Gold Charge on January 16th. On January 17th I am seeing Plat Charge on the Amex app. Gold is replaced with Plat charge.

No VKYC or anything was asked by Amex.

If you upgrade from Plat Travel to Plat Charge, both of the cards can stay.

But if you upgrade from Gold Charge to Plat Charge, it automatically changes into Plat Charge.

I had reserve and gold charge. Upgrade offer came on reserve. After upgrading, reserve is not closed, and I have both plat charge and gold charge active.

I just got a call stating the same. Because I had called for nullifying / reducing the cost on my Plat Travel now that I have the Plat Charge.

They made both my Plat Travel and MRCC as companion cards. So until I have the Plat Charge, no fees on both.

And even if I discontinue my Plat Charge and keep my Plat Travel activated, no charges on the MRCC.

For me, they made Plat Travel companion but not MRCC, can you share how you manage to include MRCC ?
