Validity of Accor Gold status

I was Lucky I got a room upgrade because the room I booked was not available
I recently stayed in Novotel Mumbai and they upgraded my room without even me asking for it.
Last week at ibis styles in bangkok I requested them for upgrade and they said that they can provide upgraded room from tomorrow. Next day they upgraded my room to bigger room
Similar good experiences in other places too. Also they gave a food basket in room on the first day at Mumbai and pattaya.
The reception at all the places of ibis and novotel were very courteous and thanked me for being loyal and gold status holder.
So overall I am satisfied with Accor gold status.
Though I may not renew it as didn't use the free vouchers and my stay has already crossed 55 nights

I think the status does help. I was upgraded from the most basic room to Club Millisemme Luxury room on the top floor in Sofitel Dubai. At the palm, I was upgraded from a normal room to a sea & pool facing one. Even in Singapore they upgraded my entire stay (5 nights including the complimentary night which generally they don’t). Ibis Bali they upgraded me to a bigger room and out of 3 times, twice I was upgraded to the suite in Novotel Pune.
Other than the status a lot also depends on your luck, the reception/reservation staff and the availability. So I don’t fret much about it, in case I am not upgraded 🙂
It's somehow linked to Accor plus membership expiry. Mine got downgraded to silver after accor plus expired and I renewed prior to expiration. It's downgraded to silver. At the time of renewal if you have 30 status night probably it will maintain gold.
People say this year status nights is for next year, but not for calendar year. I think it's from the time when you get 30 status nights, your gold membership starts and valid for a year. At the time of expiry, if you have 30 status nights, your gold membership is maintained for another year.

Err no. At the end of each year Accor resets all status nights. Also your status is determined during that reset.
So if in Dec 31st you have 30 status nights entire next year u will remain gold else it will reset as per the number of status nights.
I am in same dilemma however mine is even complicated as I have Travellers free from Amex however need to upgrade to explorer next year.
Same with me, I was a gold member and now post the expiry of my membership I have been downgraded to Silver, I thought the same too, I should have been gold till the end of the year, but alas no !
I remained gold even after accor plus expiry. And so did my spouse.
She did not had enough nights for this year.
Her accor plus expired in September.
Her app.showed accor plus gold earlier. Now shows accor gold

I am having 39 status nights as on today with Accor plus gold status which will expire on 31st Aug 2025
On 1st Jan 2025, I my status nights will be reset to 0, so to reach platinum I will have to accumulate 60 nights from 1st Jan 2025 ? Right ?
And if I renew gold before expiry, I will attain gold status+ 20 nights, so then I will have to spend 40 nights before end of year (including the status nights earned earlier ) to reach to platinum ?
The query basically is I need to achieve Platinum status, what would work best for me ?

Not sure how you are Gold till Aug 2025 as Accor status are reset every year.
So on 1st Jan 2025, you will remain Gold even after reset as you have 30+ nights already.
So on 1st Jan, your status will reset to Gold, and all nights will be back to 0. For platinum in 2025 you will need to accumulate 60 nights or 14000 status points from 1st Jan to 31st Dec.
Renew Accor gold next year and earn 40 status nights. Thats the best way to get Accor Platinum for you.
Or if you are spending it on revenue stays then 1400 status points will get you there
Best way is to get accor plus in 2025 and try to get 40 nights, so a total of 60 nights will take you to platinum.
Other way is to achieve it through status points of 14000 . You may think of taking accor signature absolute yearly membership on 1week of January and that will give you 12000 status points and 75000 accor points in a year. So you will need 2000 extra status points by revenue bookings in that year.

6720 Brazilian Real currency, it is presently around 14.7 rupees. It gives you 1000 status points per month and 5000 accor points per month. Every 4th month, it gives 5000 bonus accor points.
Presently it is available at 5730 till December 2, under BLACKFRIDAY2024 code. But you will lose 1000 status points of December as they will be reset to 0 on January 1.
Way the pros and cons about timing of this membership
I really doubt you can buy one more accorplus on the same ID. When you renew the membership, the status nights will be credited on the date when the renewal will be activated and not when you buy
