Vistara Infinite downgraded??

Not sure if it's only me but I have been holding an Axis Bank Vistara Infinite card since launch and have held Vistara Gold status since then and also received one biz class voucher and 2 upgrade vouchers every year.
Well, this year I paid the card renewal fee on 30 May 2023. Didn't receive any vouchers but today I receive this email (see attachment)
WTF!! Demoted to silver!
Haven't read about anyone else experiencing this so is it possible this is a mess-up on the part of Axis?
Or is this because I didn't take any revenue flights in the previous year?
Would appreciate some feedback.

Maybe you get 3 on renewal, because that's as per UK's rules, but I haven't got to renewal as yet.

However, I received the Vistara Infinite credit card today and wondering if Vistara will renew my gold status basis credit card (and therefore provide 2 upgrade vouchers) or basis my flight activity (and therefore provide 3 vouchers). If it is former, I might wait to activate the card till I attain the flight related criteria.

Not sure how it works with Axis & UK. Logically, the Axis Vistara UK Gold Status should kick in ONLY after the expiry of your current status and not just extend it. Either way, the system should see it as a renewal.

I'm interested to know your rational behind taking this card.

I have written to Club Vistara, so let's see what do they respond.

I have taken the card primarily for earning points on advance tax payments. Although I am thinking of downgrading the card to Signature version as I don't need Gold status through card and I am happy to fly premium economy on domestic routes. Also applied for SBI Vistara but for some reason the card got rejected. Not many options (with miles transfer) to earn points with tax payments.

Yesterday received email from Axis stating gold tier will not get upgraded from 2nd year onwards until we meet 4 revenue flights plus 15000 tier points to continue with gold tier status else will be down graded to silver. They are devaluing everything now. Maybe too many business class vouchers redeemed thai year. Expect more down grades and conditions and this would be effective from 1st March 2024. So those want to retain gold status complete the condition before your yearly cycle is over else may be down graded to silver. For me anyway was no use at all abt gold status vistara looks at what type of ticket you have. Axis is the Worstest among the other worst pvt banks.

Considering this card. How many upgrade vouchers do we get with CV Gold? some people say its 2 and some say its 3.

You get 3 upgrade vouchers only if you don't already have a CV account but 2 for everyone who already has an account.
