Vistara Tier Downgrade from gold to silver - No Upgrade Voucher

My Vistara tier was downgraded in October from Gold to Silver, but I have not received the one-class upgrade voucher that is typically provided with Silver membership status.

(And it is not available in AirIndia Account as well after merger)

1. Someone is saying that it is not available when it is downgraded (but can anyone confirm this? ) - even its a downgrade , i should get 1 upgrade voucher instead of 2
2. not able to connect to vistara customer care as it is merged and air india support cannot help on this
Can anyone help pls ?

@GoodGuy Yes, "someone" is correct. You do not get 1 class upgrade voucher when you are downgraded.
upgrade voucher is only issued if you join/upgrade to silved tier, or continue to maintain in the tier by eligible qualifications.

I assume your case is - You were gold tier because of Axis Infinite, and you were downgraded bcz you closed the card! If yes, no upgrade vouchers is given

Mark it as solution if it resolved your query.

i did not close the card, it is still active - as i completed 1 year it got downgraded from gold to silver (as card feature gets gold only for 1 year)
So you mean next year i will get 1 class upgrade voucher as tier remains silver (if card remains active)

SBI Vistara Prime gives one class upgrade voucher when you continue to remain in the same tier after charging annual fees.
For Axis also, the case is true for other Axis vistara card (that gives PE tickets), but not sure of Infinite. Maybe read the finer prints in the devaluation document....
And I agree, isn;t fair in your case when you dont get benefits despite paying for the card. Please escalate it to customer support, highly likely that Axis has messed up something yet again in terms of benefits

Yes.. downgrade does not get any voucher.

Also next year, if you do not meet qualification criteria (flights and tier proints), you will be downgraded from Silver to base, thereby again no voucher.

You can however check with the bank if they give vouchers against payment of renewal fees (they do I guess), but it will not be due to silver downgrade

i got the business class voucher for payment of annual fees... but no upgrade voucher in my vistara account
i did not notice this before merger.. now it is impossible to explain this issue to air India.

Exact same case with me, though i realised in August when i was downgraded.. even i still have the Vistara Infinite active.. i called Vistara customer care for the 1 class upgrade voucher but they said only Axis can give that.. Dint bother to call Axis.. So thats that..

actually this should be given by vistara only.. as it is silver tier.. and axis won't know anything about related to tiers..
called axis also, they dont know..
