What is the "Customer ID" for non-banking HDFC customers?

Hi all,

I HDFC's credit limit enhancement form, one of the fields that they ask us to fill is a customer ID. I only hold a credit card from them and do not have a banking relationship. I can't find a customer ID anywhere on my credit card statement or the web portal.

Can someone please guide me what to fill in this space? Thanks.

Only filling CC number is sufficient
You should find customer ID in net banking portal

Thanks Anirban. Will go ahead with filling the CC number only then.

If its not too much of a hassle, can you please guide me where in the the netbanking portal can I find the customer ID? I only have a CC and not a bank account and my portal looks like this.

I have tried looking for it in "Account Information" and "Account Summary" pages, but without success.

I was not able to find my customer ID number(as a CC only customer) in the net banking portal. I called the customer care number 2 times to obtain and verify my customer ID number. The problem is that, they gave me a 9 digit customer ID, and HDFC banks asks for 8 digit customer ID everywhere. I have seen that CC only customers of HDFC and Axis bank get a step-motherly treatment from them.

There is no customer ID for CC only customers. In order to activate netbanking. You should create a user id

In both case we have to give OTHER banks card details/Statement.

Update:- I called HDFC's dedicated DCB helpline to check my annual spends thus far this year for the milestone benefits. I also asked the representative about the what to fill out in the customer ID and was told I can keep it blank in the form. So @anirbanm was correct again 🙂

The representative also told me there was a limit enhancement offer available on the card and asked for my consent (via an IVR OTP) to increase the limit. Naturally, I consented.

But the weird thing is I did not see the limit enhancement offer anywhere in the portal or receive any SMS or mail about it. Is that the case usually?

Interesting ... I'll also call CC then to know about LE offer as I can't see on my net banking and I desperately need one

Got to INR 7.2L from INR 6.0L. Although the objective was to reach INR 8.0L to be able to apply for Infinia.
