Did you request for LE enhancement? It's too early but give it a try if you haven't already.
Not that early bud. I got my card back in Sept 2023. I tried for 50k LE. That was rejected as well. I got massive LE on my other Sbi Card i.e Elite. Dont know why they are hesitant to give LE to my Sbi Cashback

You can transfer some of the limit over to the Sbi CB card. Try if it works.

When did you request LE last? 6 month gap is good enough, I did try this with HDFC.

Yes but no luck. Did in april 24 & nov 24. Both times rejected due to internal policies.
The only way I can think of is to utilise your 50k limit every month for a few months and see how it goes unless of course you have tried this too already.

Alright guys, lets share our stories. Easiest & Hardest efforts we have put to grab our desired credit cards.

For me,
Card with minimum effort : Federal Bank
Federal bank Celesta LTF 10L limit
Process - Just 2 steps basic details, approved instantly without any vkyc/physical kyc

Card with maximum effort : Hdfc
DCB/Infinia was my target
1. Got preapproved MB, used for 2 years. No LE at all. Closed my first ever MB cc with 40k limit
2. Opened preferred acc and waited for regalia offer but got MB 50k limit offer. Frustrated & applied c2c via 3rd party agent for regalia, mad hdfc approved preapproved offer instead of regalia c2c.
Closed 50k MB cc and preferred acc
3. After 6 months opened imperia & Applied c2c for regalia at branch, But hdfc gave Csc MB with 50k limit.
Frustrated and closed csc MB & imperia acc.
4. Met one RM from another state, he promised to get me infinia if i open imperia with high balance & maintain for 2 months. Eventually did opened & maintained. But that ZH didn't agree as my cibil was just 747 with 1 late payment. He stated that can't provide card to defaulter.
Atleast I asked for DCB, that RM denied to put further effort.
5. I felt sad for putting these many efforts & couldn't get even DCB. I complained to HDFC MD regarding infinia,
But my local credit card head called me & told without 3L income we can't provide infinia. But if you have other bank cc above 5L limit, we can give you DCB.
6. I agreed for DCB, asked him 2 3 times I only want DCB not any other. He confirmed me same. I recorded call.
He ordered local branch credit card agent to complete c2c application for DCB, I provided axis 6L statement
Recorded local agent call too.
Then i got verification call and he said I'm eligible for DCB. I asked him again I want only DCB not any other card. He confirmed u get dcb only. Recorded that call too.
Next day got in principle approval message. I got happy because with in principle approval, there's not going to be physical verification.

Next day got declined msg, asked cc head, he took 2 days and replied. As per ur profile we can only give 1.4L limit, for that limit only millenia, MB, freedom cards only u can get. If u agree I will process one. I denied & cut the call.

Wrote a mail to customer service, robotic reply, then to priority redressal they told same millinia, MB story.
Wrote to grievance redressal, Same story. Wrote to MD, they reverted to grievance redressal then same story.
Frustrated and gone to RBI ombudsman with all the call recordings and screenshots that HDFC violating the promised things.
Wrote a mail to grievance redressal with RBi complaint copy & call recordings, they simply replied we have received ur rbi complaint, still we can give millenia, mb only. Any of ur further mails, will not replied from us.

This sentence hurted me too much. I replied to that, you are violating the basic human right of RIGHT TO SPEECH, who are you to tell me that, Indian constituency gave me that right.
Also told that I'm going to the court against HDFC with all your heads, agents call recordings, get ready to face that.

Guess what, i sent that mail evening, next day early morning I received mail of virtual DCB card with 5L limit. 🤣🤣🤣
I didn't understand who approved it, never seen anyone getting DCB virtual. Literally shocked.

Then I understood anything possible in CC world, we need to put right efforts and sometimes need to drag bank too if they go out of the line.

Literally Got Hdfc DCB, Amex plat travel, SCB ultimate, Federal celesta, IDFC wealth, RBL plat maxima at 747 cibil.
Now my cibil is above 770,now credit cards getting rejected🤣🤣. I don't understand this algorithm. Latest one is BOB eterna after positive physical verification.

Share your easier & harder CC story.
What a story!! Generally, banks are hesitant to give CC after single defaults also.

Minimum Efforts went into these CC:
- Amazon ICICI LTF
- One Card LTF
- Indusind Legend LTF
- AU LIT LTF
- HSBC LTF
- IDFC Power Plus
- HDFC Swiggy LTF
- HDFC Regalia Gold LTF (Went into branch had some preferred banking so asked cc guy can I get regalia gold LTF he said yeah and just got it - now time is change, it isn't this easy this was around 1.2 years back)
- SBI Cashback (Quick online approval of 1.2L limit)
- Axis Ace

Some efforts went into to get these CC:
- Amex Platinum -> First my city wasn't under serviceable list but I applied and got denied then after some months it got listed then got the card
- Yes Marquee -> I tried twice by calling CC department of bank and directly applying too but was not getting it but after few days got call from some random agent while I was boarding flight and generally I don't trust random calls for credit card but I asked him if he can get me marquee card and he did! might be had some references with bank's people but anyway I was happy I got it.

But the fight of getting ad on for marque was the toughest one yet - this went on for 3 months and then finally i got it

Thanks for recognizing my efforts.

Btw you had great collection. Hope you add more with less efforts possible ✌️

I got 11 cards within a year (because of TF). I had 2 before. So now total is 13.

Only 3 rejections ever.
1) Amex rejected once sometime in 2017 I think, I don't remember.
2) IDFC rejected due to location not serviceable. My mistake.
3) Standard Chartered rejected, though I was a long term customer then, for reasons they did not disclose.

Of these Kotak White was only one with issues, though it was pre-approved, because the support could not close/kill a duplicate application request, it was showing an application already exists and the RM could not make the request for me. I had to threaten Kotak that I will close my salary account. Then, the application was approved the same day.

I had applied for HDFC TNI, they asked me to send all documents in courier to their legendary Chennai office. I said no thanks. Probably dodged a bullet.

Minimum Effort - ICICI Sapphiro - Card was preapproved on the app.
Max effort - HDFC Infinia - Had to follow up with the RM for almost a month

Minimum Effort :
HSBC Visa Platinum - It was my first credit card. Got it along with salary account opened during onboarding day after joining from campus. No additional documents or kyc was asked for apart from what was checked for joining formalities anyway.
Additionally recent axes cards can be considered since they come pre-approved in app and gets automatically dispatched without any additional formalities.

Maximum Effort :
AmEx SmartEarn
(closed long back) - Card approval process was normal, nothing unusual. Hassle came with getting the card in hand. They sent the card to my office address (which was still fine since it's before Covid and I went to office 4days a week) but for some weird reason AmEx didn't print my contact no with address/envelope and since delivery agent couldn't call me, it was not possible for them to deliver as office wouldn't allow them beyond security room. Twice the card went back undelivered and by then I had figured out the real issue and called AmEx for rectification and then still they made the same mistake again. Finally it was delivered on 4th attempt after I also liasioned with delivery company customer care aa well as left my contact no with security so that they can call me if the agent from particular courier came. The whole process of getting card in hand took little more than a month since approval.

Card without details on envelope, hearing first time. Amex🫡

I'm seeing 8/10 people have got a hard time from Hdfc for Infinia.
And infinia is actually the hardest card to get.
Now I feel bad, I was getting option for Infinia upgrade fyf and I didn't take it.
