Consumer App by Dept of Consumer AffairsIs it grievance to HDFC Bank or it is complaint to advertisement council of India?
awesome! Someone finally reported this to GOI
You cannot call or promote a card with annual fee waiver based on certain spends as a LTF Card. The basic meaning of LTF card means that they cannot charge you irrespective of the fact you spend 10 rs a year or 10000000 a year. When you visit the HDFC site, you can clearly feel the ambiguity regarding their usage of LTF.Even though you are right, they do have asterisk (*) which clearly says you need to meet the criteria which can be anything....
The same thing goes with other cards too. For Example: you can see that IDFC says that they have Lifetime Free card, with no asterisk(*) too.. but their MITC might have the condition where they can change any rule/condition without prior notice... which means they can change the card status to paid anytime they want
That's what is called as Management Word Play
Any card issued as ltf to someone won't become charged for existing user.Even though you are right, they do have asterisk (*) which clearly says you need to meet the criteria which can be anything....

That's what you think and may be correct.... but its marketing gimmik from HDFC. They call Conditional LTF (where condition is the asterisk).. they highlight LTF but keep the (*) which people don't understand xDYou cannot call or promote a card with annual fee waiver based on certain spends as a LTF Card. Bank has the authority to change any card from LTF to paid if they think the customer is not worth owning their card as LTF...Any card issued as ltf to someone won't become charged for existing user.
Wait so people owning multiple ltf use all of themThat's what you think and may be correct.... but its marketing gimmik from HDFC. They call Conditional LTF (where condition is the asterisk).. they highlight LTF but keep the (*) which people don't understand xD

It has happened with many people (some of which are here on forum too with their threads). I remember 1 guy had created a topic in HDFC CC area where he was called and told that they are converting his LTF DCB to paid as he isn't using the card as much... try to find it

Many people have this mindset but you should always remember, they are giving you their product/service to use... they have complete authority to change your card status and to cancel it at their will if they don't think you are worthy enough... Always keep this in mind.... You don't own that, They approve you for using their service, whose terms and conditions can change anytime.
atleast once a month so that statement gets generated... loading Rs.1 in paytm wallet is also fine (as suggested by TechnoFino)Wait so people owning multiple ltf use all of them
