Which card or cards are you using for maximum return on fuel purchase?

TF Ace
I am using BOB HPCL and SBI BPCL for long time. And trying for SBI OCTANE but not getting the upgrade. Bob hpcl through hppay app gives a bit more return.

But bob reward points are not consistent as you all are aware of that. And BPCL return is decent but not that lucrative.

I heard some of you even manage to get arround 8% even from prepaid cards?

I was wondering, what you pro players are using , to maximize the return on fuel purchase in 2025.

I use Axis IndianOil Premium credit card (LTF). Gives reward points for fuel at all IndianOil bunks. Also, when I refuel, I also ensure to get my mobile number entered in the POS machine, which gets me XTRA Reward points from IOCL.

Axis IndianOil reward points can be redeemed for fuel @ 1:1 ratio.

Other than credit cards, there are debit cards & upi which gives cashback without worrying about the surcharge & pumps. Check it out.

If your overall credit limit is less than 9 lakhs

Close bpcl and take octane after a month

Consider for rbl Indian oil cc and idfc power+ too.

I am using SBI Cashback card for fuel purchase at HPCL.

Rs. 100 HP Pay voucher is available for Rs. 95. In addition to that, you get 5% cashback on the purchase, bringing your purchase down to Rs. 90.25.

When you purchase Rs. 100 worth fuel on HP Pay, you get 1 point = Rs. 0.25.

So effectively, you get the fuel at 10% cashback.

What is the catch?

a. 5% instant discount
b. 4.75% cashback in the card next month
c. 0.25% cashback in the HP Pay account
d. In addition to the above, there is a daily purchase limit of Rs. 5,000 and monthly purchase limit of Rs. 15,000 through HP Pay App in one account.
