Which card to use for Advance Tax Payment

What are the charges for debit card for advance tax ? I remember for credit card it's around 1.08% including GST.
Also does sbi debit card fetch 0.25% on this ?
Lastly regarding IDFC first, if I remove 10L/3L for wealth/select account after upgrading once, will they downgrade?
There's no charges for using DC.

I have to pay advance tax of Rs. 1 lakh before 15th September. If I use IDFC Wealth debit card, shall I break the transactions multiple times, like below 20,000 per transaction or is it okay to pay Rs. 1 lakh in one go?
I also have IDFC Wealth cc. The payment gateway charges will be nullified by cc bill payment later on (1% on airtel/canara setu). Does it make sense to pay via Wealth credit card instead of the debit card to maximise returns?

No, it doesn't come under utilities but I read somewhere on this forum regarding doing transactions under 20k (can't find it in the ocean of posts).

I don't think CCs are accepted for income tax payment
They are. Some even pay cashback or milestone benifits. There are 7 payment gateways available.

you can. I did pay my difference amount for FY23-24 via HDFC CC.
SC Ultimate will give you 3RP for 150rs on government payments. With 1RP = 1rs its return is 2% - Payment Gateway charges

Use Amex Platinum travel for 3L and after that yes first exclusive with 3x subscription enabled for remaining 6L
Sbi vistara no longer give points for govt payment. Not sure about milestone

I don't have any super premium card so simply paid with ICICI Amazon Pay using Kotak PG.

Does Kotak gateway not charge a fee for tax payment using Kotak credit cards? I just made a advance tax payment using Kotak 811 card and got no additional charges levied. Was short of it's annual milestone reward and got that completed with this payment for no charge.

Isn't that a waste ? It will give 1% cashback and gateway charges will be 0.98%+ GST, which is more than cashback recieved
