Yes - you should be able to download the receipt once the payment is done.

After your comment, checked for points in app. To my surprise, extra amount is added. There are are rps but not sure how much it is.
Is this legal? I mean, payment gateway not showing the extra fees and gst?

Transaction charges are mentioned on income tax site. And some payments gateway adds later. Same is also true for education spends.

@aparnahm by the way which gateway did you use? Does idfc shows mcc other than 9311 by any chance?

IDFC wealth CC gives 3 points per Rs 150 for Govt transactions - roughly 0.5%

Apart from that PG , were you levied any extra on towards utilities ? Recently there was a change in CC
IDFC bank's surcharge of 1%+GST on bill payments over 20,000

Correct. You will get RPs and PG is zero.

They do show upfront. Check your OTP SMS. Do you not see fees + gst added to the amount?

Approximately 0.95% charges are applicable.

HDFC Gateway doesn't. Even post transaction sms shows without fees and gst. HDFC gateway does same for education payment.

For transaction chrages in incme tax website, the gateway charges through HDFC showing as zero for debit cards. For credit card, they can add in the statement. In case of debit card, i gave OTP for the advance tax amount only. Let us see.

I didn't read well. It should be zero for debit card.
