Yes Bank Reserv + 3X Subscription Plan

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a new card to complement my Infinia. The main goal is to increase the rewards rate for a few lakhs of donations towards NGOs (both Indian and International). BOGO on movies, and rewards on rental and UPI transactions will be great to have but not necessary.

I recently came across the YES Reserv card, along with the 3X subscription offer for all spends. The following is how I see the reward rates:
  • 9% Points on Online Shopping (except on Select categories)**
  • 4.5% Points on Offline Shopping (except on Select categories)
  • 2.25% Points on Select categories
Assuming 25 paise per RP redemption rate, for flights and hotels.

The 9% rewards rate seems just too good to be true. Can anyone confirm? If it is indeed true, then why is this not the most talked about card for Forex transactions?

P.S: I don't mind paying the annual fee given the rewards.

Seems to be airline only. Indigo site says 3000 cancellation fee. So, that's major difference with air india. 5% gst on cancellation fee is not written anywhere, but I guess everyone will charge that.

Only extra part not mentioned anywhere is this 354 RAF, which some people say as illegal 😅.
maybe that airline has too much cancellation fee. Is it? or Yes only saying that?

Called yes rewards helpline. They are telling 4000 airline fee, 354 RAF fee from airline, 200 GST from Airline and 400 charges from yes bank. Net 4954 charges per passenger 🤦‍♂️.
Update on this.

Cancelled directly from yes bank rewards site manually. Called immediately and confirmed final refund amount. Didn't get charged 354 RAF as was indicating in earlier call, so total cancellation charges were 4600 per pax for Air India.

Got refund back as points on 5th day (including a weekend). And it is available for redemption again. No need to wait for statement generation also. Official timeline is 15 working days though for refund.

One interesting thing was that I did partial cancellation. And there was some bug in their system, due to which instead of cancelling the tickets, they created a new PNR of all those cancelled passengers and old pnr with non cancelled passengers. Both pnr were showing active on air india website.

I called yes bank for confirmation and they told that tickets are cancelled from their side and refund is also processed.

Then called air india helpline and they told that tickets is active. After I told that tickets are cancelled by yes bank and refund is also received, the person told me that he will mark it as cancelled then, otherwise it will get marked as no show and later can create problems. So, I said okay and then he cancelled manually and marked that refund is already received by customer.

Weird stuff.
