Big News: American Express Resumes Credit Card Applications in India

I too applied for amex platinum travel card on 1st Oct. VKYC was done in minutes but after that no updates.

How to check application status? How much time it usually takes after KYC is done to get confirmation email?

They are kind of not providing any status in between via email. You can call and ask for specific update on status and they will say documents submitted or investigation in progress something like this.

I tried that but they said,its pending from kyc team.Once they send feedback then only they can provide an update.

Till now no update

I guess they have put my application on hold as plat travel is still not live.

Can you tell me step by step? What did they ask for etc etc
 
I tried to apply for Amex Plat Travel and my application was rejected by the VKYC agent, so I am living in a rented flat in Mumbai, working in Mumbai and address on my Aadhar Card is of my hometown in Shimla, the KYC agent mentioned that address entered in application should be same as on Aadhar card.

I mentioned that I can provide rental agreement or maybe my Postpaid bill, but the agent simply denied, is there no way to apply for the card if living in rented house?

I have applied for HDFC, Axis, Yes Bank, SBI credit cards previously from the same house and haven't faced this issue

For AMEX, they strictly need aadhar address to be same as your current living address. I suggest to get your aadhar address updated. They rejected my card application as well last year, when i was in your situation

You should mention your current address as Aadhar address and office address in Mumbai. Your card will get approved without any issue , after approval you can request your card to be delivered at Mumbai location. I followed the same method.

Need one of the following on current address (even rented)

- passport
- dl
- aadhar
- voter id

u can use postpaid or gas bill to update DL which works fine.
