They won't take this request anymore. People have tried already even with hefty NRV and very decent spending

Piggy backing on this thread. Does HDFC take requests for converting a DCB card from chargeable to LTF? I have an 18L limit on the card.

It is extremely rare. You can try with your RM/Branch Manager, but they generally dont have this info either.

I think now a days HDFC stopped doing this since they did it mostly last year during the ban.
So they won't do it anymore.

An year ago I got an email from RM that if I open a savings account with HDFC bank, my diners black card will be converted to Life time free card and 5000 points will be credited. I did the same and the card is LTF now. I even closed the bank account recently. It purely depends on campaign basis.

It was during the BAN imposed by RBI.
Now-a-days it is not available.
