Can we open Axis liberty account online if we have a credit card?

Everytime I try to do it online, entire process goes through including vkyc and funding the IP, and get account number, E-Debit card details. And then after a few days my amount gets refunded stating they were not able to open my account.

Upon enquiring with CC, they told me existing credit card users will have a customer id and therefore opening the savings account online will not be possible. Is there any truth to this? because it sounded like BS to me.

But then I even tried again by choosing a different branch to open the account online. Still the same result.

P.S. I only have Airtel Axis credit card. No core cards with Axis (if you don't count the Citi credit card)

I had flipkart cc before getting liberty account. Whole process was online. Savings was opened with existing customer id. Customer care is as usual giving you lame reasons. Mail to pno.

Yes.
5% depends on MCC, as it is flipkart MCC Issue would not be there.
