Background
I've had a salary account with HDFC since I started working in 2013 (Now Imperia). I was never particularly a big spender or particularly into the credit card game, instead focusing more on saving and investing over the years. For the longest time I had just the one credit card with HDFC which was Regalia and was only interested in the lounge access it offered. Honestly, my interest in cards only got triggered by the Regalia devaluation and introduction of spend based lounge access, which irritated me for some reason. I was seeing offers for the Regalia Gold upgrade, but I held off on upgrading thinking I'd think about it as my current card got closer to expiry (September 2024).
Credit Card Journey
However after going through the cumbersome process of availing the lounge coupon recently I finally gave in and accepted the Regalia Gold upgrade about a week ago, which in hindsight was probably a mistake (Not my first when it has come to cards). At the same time I discovered this forum during my reading and
realized that over the last 6 months thanks to travel and shopping spends I had ended up with 10 lakhs or so total spends and that I could push for a better card based on limit on spends.
On Monday (10th June) I wrote to the grievance email id stating my case based on my relationship with the bank, my limit and my spends and asked for an Infinia upgrade. Got some auto responses before a response on Thursday (13th June) saying that I had recently been upgraded to Regalia Gold and they regretted not being able to give me Infinia. At that point I was sort of kicking myself for my impatience but was ready to accept that I should probably try again in a few months, perhaps going for Diners Club Black instead.
However something about them calling Regalia Gold an upgrade ticked me off and I decided whatever happened I was going to escalate to the pno - where I expressed my frustration and hinted that if after these sort of spends and relationship HDFC wasn't going to give me a better card I'd be better off looking elsewhere. I got a response on Friday night saying they had reviewed my case again and were now willing to offer me Infinia Metal (FYF) and to download, fill out and send them the scanned upgrade form which I promptly did on Saturday morning and they have closed the service ticket without any further responses

Questions
- Is this the end of the process? Will I get any more communications from them about the status?
- How long does it take to process the upgrade and send the card?
