My Experience
Since I have an international trip planned next month to Japan I tried to apply HDFC ForexPlus Card (multicurrency card) and load some 2,00,000 Yen to the card to compare the actual reward rate. While Google is showing the exchange rate of 2L Yen equal to 112150 INR, HDFC is charging me some 1,16,695 INR including loading charges of around 195. It equates to a direct loss of approximately 4.01% since HDFC has higher Forex rates. But with a 16.66% (5X) reward rate on my Diners Club Black credit card, this deal is too good since it would leave me a net reward rate of 12.65% which handsomely beats even the reward rates of Axis Olympus and Axis Reserve. This is a good offer especially if you hold Diners Black or above credit cards.

Loading in USD is proving to be much cheaper since only approximately 2% charge is being applied so if you want to get a card then go for Regalia Plus Forex card since although it can be loaded only in USD but can be used to pay in any currency worldwide since it has zero cross currency markup charges.

They indeed don't have full clarity as well. The terms & conditions however mentions any forex plus card with both load & re-load .

• Other Terms and Conditions of the respective card variant is applicable

I called the helpline, and they checked and said that it is not mentioned that this 15k is separate from smartbuy, I have also now sent an email cause the agent on call could not confirm this...

There are so many things - no mention of being part of smartbuy quota, only Infinia has 15k on smartbuy unlike this offer, smartbuy points are credited next day of settlement. And I can go on and on...

Okay so my transaction got settled for 1.12L and no 1x points. Called the customer care they reviewed the offer n transaction again to confirm that the entire 5x points will come by 5th of next calendar month.

Rechecking on T&C it also says the same. So perhaps will wait till 5th march to reflect all the 5x points .

I have both Infinia( In my Fathers Name) and Diners Black (in my name) will I get 15k each on both account if I load to only 1 card

I tried applying many times and for different people as well, via both the flow of having HDFC account and not having.
Every single time I got the same error of passport expiry date not being correct.
The site is behaving stupid.

Branch will also make you apply from the website only. No workaround found as of now.

Let's hope they are fixing this in today's website downtime.
