I have a question. I know I can find the answer myself after a few weeks, but I'm still asking for a quick answer because I have never set up autopay for these cards.
Prior-knowledge: I know that nowadays HDFC Bank (always) and AU Bank (often after 2-3 days) update the due amount in BBPS after we make some manual CC bill payments. ICICI, Axis, SBI, and others do not follow the same practice. HDFC cc auto bill payment can not be set by using its own DC.
In this scenario,
1. If I try to set auto payment of the AU cc bill and pay a partial amount manually immediately after the bill generation, then... What will be the autopay amount? (Full due as per the original bill / Remaining due as per the updated initial payment)
2. What if I set the "not more than" option in the auto pay setting when the bill amount is higher than that? (For example, I would like to set 16,000 as autopay using Millennia DC, where the bill amount is 25,000, and I pay manually 5000 immediately after bill generation.) Will it go through with the limit amount only, or will it not be executed at all? or it will ask for my manual intervention? If intervention is required, then possibly the merchant name will be different. right?
3. Can I use the "not more than option" for ICICI / Axis and still get cashback benefits?
(Hope someone has the answer).
