A new term courtesy of HDFC: "Pre-eligible"

HDFC Whatsapped me this message today. I have heard of pre-approved and pre-qualified before, but pre-eligible is something new for me. What does it mean? Is it same as as pre-approved?

Are you self employed?
then if you want mainstream cards like Millenia , Regalia etc, then change your occupation to "salaried" in your profile in Net Banking and wait for 3 months .. you will get better offers..

These both cards are very basic.. I didn't even hear those two cards..

This offer is showing on my brothers account, he is self-employed (real estate), and GST payments are not done him.

So these 2 cc are useless for him

you just enter whatever you want .. it will be approved without any docs

What should be my course of action?

1. Proceed with it and send the email back to HDFC to show they're lying and ask them to honour their LTF offer

2. Leave it now for better offer ( actual LTF)

Also, if I proceed from here will I get the card for sure? Because the employment details are sketchy and I cannot be very transparent about it
