Air India Maharaja Club transition hiccups.

The transition was smooth for my Vistara and Air India accounts.I can see the vouchers and points in the Maharaja club now.I was in the red tier in the flying returns,got upgraded to silver tier with the Vistara merger,courtesy IDFC Vistara card.The 10kg extra baggaga allowance included with Silver tier is useful to me,as I frequently fly Air India.The Silver tier got extended until September 2026.I don't know what happens to the Vistara cards,are they renewing the memberships of the cards for another year or are they closing the cards?
 
I didn’t initiated Air India and club Vistara linking process, later on club Vistara confirm that they will create new account on Air India behalf of me.
Till now, I did not get the membership ID and password, does someone get with the same situation?
 
I have received upgrade vouchers, travel vouchers, and CV points same as Club Vistara.
No issue in my account.
Also, the new AI app looks more polished and user friendly with multiple new options
 
The transition of points and vouchers has been smooth for me - all CV points and reflecting, upgrade vouchers and ticket vouchers reflecting as they should, with the promised validity. Gold tier also reflecting, with validity until Mar, 26.
Its a different issue I am facing. I had to plan my travel for the end of this month. Since this was beyond 12th Nov, I could not use points or my vouchers for booking, hence I booked revenue tickets on Air India from the Tata Neu app. Since I was on red tier on AI, preferred seats were chargeable and hence I did not go ahead with selecting seats, thinking I would select the seats once I was upgraded to the Gold tier on AI post 12th Nov. Today, once the migration is done, I have been facing the following issues:
1) When I am trying to select seats from Manage Booking section, seats are still chargeable
2) Calls on customer care number - no one picks up and call gets disconnected after long hold. Tried twice and then 3rd time requested the option for call back, no call back since. On Vistara, call would get picked immediately and transferred to an agent - they had the best customer care agents along with AMEX customer care, the only two customer care service that actually were good.
3) Trying their AI chatbots on the website was completely useless and frustrating.
4) Slightly different point - I had booked the tickets from the Tata Neu App using my AMEX Plat Charge card. Received the regular 2.5% AMEX MR points and not the 10X Rewards Xcelerator points. Maybe because I used the Tata Neu App and not the Air India app? But I had used the Tata Neu app for purchases from Tata Cliq and received the Xcelerator points, so was hoping it would be the same in case of this too, but that was not the case. In hindsight it would have been better to book from the Air India app/site or use the Tata Neu Infinity Card for payment on the Tata Neu app. But still do not understand why they would treat Tata Cliq and Air India purchases separately. Maybe time to call up the Amex customer care and ask.

Looks like it is going to be a painful transition and huge devaluation from Vistara to Air India.
 
all vouchers and points visible on the website, maybe they need to work a bit more on the app for the flight voucher visibility

I linked both my accounts but nothing got transferred to Maharaja Club.

I had 2055 points remaining, one premium economy voucher, and silver tier status.
I have raised a ticket.
Will update what happens.

Allow it sometime, some details might have been different.

I'm sure they're trying hard to keep it as smooth as possible.
 
i have a query though, we will be able to book flights for our family members right of the bat? or do we have to book a flight for ourselves first?
 
With maharaja club can we not use upgrade voucher early? website FAQ says that it can only be used at airport, if this is true then really bad move.
