How to apply for rupay variant? I also have mastercard. Please share steps.

I applied card on 2nd July and virtual card got generated instantly... Card was not showing in app after 1 day so called bank and they mentioned card is blocked and raised a request to unblock the card. Card is unblocked now and virtual card is again showing in app but unable to link with UPI. Also I could see that Rs. 590 is deducted today for the joining fee of card. Card not dispatched yet.

How they deducted joining fee as you haven't activated the card yet

Same here, not able to use the virtual card in any way still they have deducted 590 rs as joining fee. Ridiculous!!!

I don't know why they're doing this
Axis is strange with their behavior with Credit card
I hope they don't cancel this card 🤣 🤣

Fresh update on this matter by a user on DD.

After waiting for 5-6 days for physical card today i talked to customer care regarding card dispatch but to my surprise they are saying axis app by mistake let me apply for this card and if is not live yet. Also they are saying currently they are not embosing this card and if in future when this card gets officially launched than i have to apply again as current card will get canceled in some time. When i told them about joining fees been charged they told me wait and our team will reverse these charges.

Even i called them today and got same response like this guy.

My card is disappeared from my card section. I called cc and he said it's blocked and he raised a service request to unblock it. I asked did they launch it but he said bank has approved this card and it'll be delivered in 10 working days. I think he didn't know about the mistake done by axis bank.

Axis should use *lord of mistakes* as their tag
