Amex Gyftr Devaluation? Multiple numbers not working

Tried buying more than 10K Amazon Vouchers from Gyftr yesterday and post 10K all transactions were getting declined after using a different mobile numbers. Can anyone else confirm the same?

Update:

- Multiple folks have confirmed that their transactions are getting decline, so definitely seems to be true.
- Add-On card will be counted as separate card so you might be able to bypass the 10K limit. I will update this post once I am able to test that myself

Go to different branch

Didn't have the luxury to do that so I had just called someone in central team and they sent a branch RM. I think I will have to go only to meet BM now.

This is a standard rule, they cannot break it.
they have learnt from their mistakes of allowing on fixed deposits in the past.
People got the card and simply withdrew the fixed deposits

There are FDs without pre-mature withdrawal also...

Before itself., i completed 10k then it stopped working.

There is another issue that I faced. I bought a dominos voucher from Gyftr, which Dominos app didn't accept. I raised a dispute with AMEX. Since that time, all my purchases from that Amex Card, and that mobile number, result in failure. Even if a transaction goes through from another card, the vouchers are not issued, and a refund is generated after 5 - 10 days. My other AMEX cards are also fail on that mobile number, but are ok on other mobile numbers.

I bought 1k * 6 vouchers on my Gold Charge, and 2*1.5k (both using the 500 voucher) on Gyftr. Total is 9K. Since cards are different, shouldn't the limit be 10k per card+mobile combo? Or is it 10K per mobile number, irrespective of the cards?

Its 10k per card now.

That's strange. I haven't breached 10k for any card but it doesn't even let me reach the page for the Gyftr OTP, let alone allowing me to go to the payment page for the cvv.

I'm not logged in, how is it tracking? Used incognito as well, but it's not allowing there as well. IP maybe?

Anyways, I'll try from mobile and report.

Update: I was able to buy another 1.5K via an incognito tab. Then it didn't allow me further.

I used the add-on card which has another number and email that worked for 2 transactions for 5K each.

With the increasing popularity of vouchers, such steps will keep getting implemented to avoid exploitation.

Something is odd here. Today I tried to make 1k transaction with my primary mobile number and Gold card it failed. But when I used my secondary number it worked.

Yes, weird things are happening even if one has not reached the 10K limit on a card+number combo

HDFC is dumb. I told them I’ll give you 1cr FD give me Infinia and he said nah have to do via ITR only

Why would you lose interest in lakhs just for infinia? Doesnt make any sense even if FD is one of your asset classes for investments.

Also HDFC is under scanner for MIS_SELLING ULIPS in lieu of infinia card. So that route thankfully is closed now.
