AMEX MRCC New Application

Hello!

I'm looking to apply for a AMEX MRCC card but a little hesitant to apply since I miss the Personal Annual Income mark with just 15k annually.

I applied for the card back in January'23 but got rejected and since then never tried applying for one.

Currently I hold Axis My Zone, ICICI Amazon Pay and SBI Cashback, just basics. Nothing on the premium side.

If anyone can advice, if I should apply for the MRCC or go with another CC?

Thanks in advance.

If you are self employed then there might be issue and perhaps you shouldn't apply. If you are salaried then you can give your latest salary slips and bank statement this way you have a chance for approval.

Try your luck, Put an income of 6 Lac or more per annum.
Mostly they do not ask for the documents, but in case they ask, share all the documents and see if get approved or not.

There is no harm in trying it.

DM if a referral is required.

Nothing much, DOB, Address, Income, Company, etc. all which you have mentioned in the application form.

Will they ask to show my PAN, I have situation where my Aadhar name is different to my PAN name. I filled out my application name according to my Aadhar since I‘ll be using it as my address proof.

If they ask for PAN, will it cause an issue?

Remember in future, always fill applications for credit card with PAN name. Aadhaar is just to verify you. Your credit report will always reflect your PAN name.

Yes, they will ask for the Physical PAN card. Not sure how the difference in name will impact here.

India is a complicated country. We went from writing initials to now writing full name everywhere. Now in PAN card they have first name and last name format but in Aadhaar there is no such requirement because of you can write your name in any order. Now, all systems are made to match the name exactly. This is like a time bomb waiting to be blown out of proportion. People will face authentication issues and what not when we move towards digitalization of financial products.

If I set the name of the application according to my PAN, I was worried that my Aadhar address proof which is in serviceable location will not be accepted.

that is the whole purpose of verification.. Name along with the PAN number are the most important things..
Yup, agree! But in India, many people don't have the same name on all the documents. They have unnecessary prefixes/suffixes/etc.
So, many times manual verifier understands these things and allows it. i.e. Vijay Gupta in Aadhar Vijay S Gupta in PAN, and Vijaykumar Gupta in marriage certificate 😉

I strongly believe it must be kept unique between all the documents even after taking whatever hassles are required to do so. This one-time activity will give you lifetime peace.

I don't think so..
Why can't you change your name in the PAN on the basis of AAdhar??
are you not facing any issues with other applications?
Nah I can’t. My Aadhar doesn’t have my surname, whereas my PAN does and it is mandatory for PAN to have surname. Had to go through lot of trouble just to get PAN card.

What is your original name?

Update the name on your Aadhar based on the Pancard. Hold back till then for vKYC.
Add extra name proofs if needed but both the names will have to match for the approval.

Then update the address on your Aadhar based on the other documents and then you should be able to get approved easily.
