AMEX MRCC Rejected

I've Amex SmartEarn and Platinum Travel, but when I applied for MRCC, I got rejected.

I joined this forum after reading magical works of @BestBanker, can you please help? Being a new user I couldn't DM you directly.

Amex allow 2 Core Cards + 1 Charge Card per person

As you already have 2 Core Cards, and MRCC also being core card got rejected

You can apply for Gold Charge card or Platinum Charge card

As you already have 2 Core Cards, and MRCC also being core card got rejected

You can apply for Gold Charge card or Platinum Charge card

Another option, close smartearn and apply for MRCC, if you really need MRCC..

For any Amex product 90 day cool off period applies only to thar specific product that was rejected.. meanwhile you can apply for other products..
It is not a blanket cool off period like other banks.

Smart earn and MRCC are credit cards
Gold is a charge card..
So amex policy of 2 CCs and 1 Charge card is applied here and it is fine
What I am saying is.
Say a person applies for MRCC and it gets rejected then he can't apply for MRCC again within 90 days
He can apply for Plat travel/ any other card..

I have no idea about how things work in "Yuppies Land" with regard to Amex...

Maximum we can guess if you tell us about your credit profile
Exact reason you can ask to Amex

When i spoke with rep yesterday they said I can apply mrcc after cancelling smart earn . So I cancelled it and today morning before I could apply I asked if I can apply as per yesterday discussion one rep said I can do it right away some 3 reps came and I had to ask again same thing I applied and application rejected stating I already have 2 amex card I got furious each one says different things so I again chatted with rep advised I have currently plat travel and smart ear cancelled based on their info I applied mrcc and now rejected what a system it can't pull a data properly. Then I reviewed and raised further and advised for 48hrs time tonrereview it.lets wait and see. Cuz I threatened after I return from abroad will have to think of alternative to amex if the service is not upto mark and different rep giving different answers and sing the same song again and again. Very bad ..

Any luck getting them to change their mind? I was a victim of this confusing messaging too
