Anyone opened BOB BRO Account recently?

Dear TFFam,
Anyone opened the newly launched BOB BRO account recently? The account has many free perks and definitely features as a lucrative offer for students.
However though they said free Rupay Platinum DC for life, still charged a issuance charges of ₹354. Currently having a dispute with their grievance cell. Anybody here faced the same situation?

Got a call from bob as per my complain to pno, they said me that physical dc annual charges will be applicable for BRO variant and renewal charge is different from it.
So why they are mis leading their customer that everything is free
I will bash the bm next time I visit branch

I never maintained anything in that account
Will check every month the balance and if its showing 0
I am good to go
The day it showed negative I will close this shit then

I'm planning to create a BOB BRO account for my younger brother whose age is below 25.

Can anyone please answer my following questions?
  1. Since this thread is over 3 months old now, has anybody confirmed whether the RuPay Platinum debit card provided with it has a yearly charge or not?
  2. With this account variant, can we use netbanking? Or is it accessible in their mobile app only?
  3. Or should I rather go with their BOB Lite account? However, with the Lite account, they haven't mentioned whether it comes with free SMS and IMPS charges or not.
Thank you.

1. There will be annual fee for rpdc. if you need ltf dc open bob lite and maintain 3k QAB always.
2. all works flawlessly including inb&mb.
3. bob lite have imps nil as confirmed by @doraemon unofficialy and for SMS yes in bob it is free and in LITE it is chargeable, (good thing is you can easily turn of SMS alerts from bobworld app.)
do note its possible to change scheme from lite to bro but not vice versa.

Thank you, Ritwik. But I am in a dilemma now though. 🤣

Since the annual charge of the RuPay Platinum DC is essentially free for BOB Lite (Which otherwise costs over ₹300) and SMS charges are much lower than that of the debit card's annual charge, I think I should rather go with BOB Lite instead of BOB BRO.

What do you guys suggest?

I would also suggest go with BOB Lite and turn off the SMS alerts.

But by turning off SMS alerts, will I continue getting transaction alerts? In other banks, usually "SMS Alerts" refer to SMS alerts for special services like cheque bounce, and other non-transactional SMS. Weirdly, BOB hasn't mentioned it explicitly anywhere.
For transactional messages you will receive alerts but for special services like cheque bounce etc. I am not sure.

By the way, has your netbanking sign-up issue resolved? If so, how?
I opened it online so after 3 days I automatically got a mail that INB has been activated on my account.

For accounts opened through branch I guess you need to submit the INB activation form to branch after account creation because my mother opened a account through branch and after repeatedly telling the official to activate inb during account opening process, it did not got activated.
