ICICI Credit Card APay ICICI - Linked Acc Question

When you start the application on Amazon, it locks-in the Phone number and Email ID associated with your amazon account. So if the card is approved, that same phone no. and email id will be registered with the card.

My question is:

  1. Once card is approved, will you be able to change the email ID and phone number of your amazon account?
  2. If we ARE able to change it, then will it effect the linking between the Card and the Amazon account? ( I am guessing it shouldnt by assuming that an amazon account has some Unique Identifier and the card is linked to that identifier)
Thanks guys!

Why am I asking this? Its because I have separate email ID for shopping/misc services and separate for banking/financial related services.
If answer to Qn1 is Yes then I would set my Amazon account's email and phone no. to the official ones for banking and then apply for the card. If and when the card is approved then I would like to change both email and ph no. of my Amazon Account back to the shopping ones...

By default, it will be linked with your Amazon Account registered number and email.
If you change the number or email afterwards, it will be difficult to track the card transactions in the Amazon app.

Never tried, I suggest you use your primary number and email in the Amazon account and apply using that.

Do you mean change the number and email of the amazon account? (I wont be changing the CC details, only the Amazon acc's)

For example on shopping websites I use shopping@gmail(.)com and 12345 phone no. (this is my casual/general ph.number)
For banking related stuff I use banking@gmail(.)com and 67890 phone no. (my aadhar also has this "banking" ph.number)

So if I change my Amazon account's details to banking@gmail(.)com & 67890 and then apply, this gets registered with the Apay CC.

After this, will I be able to change my Amazon account's details back to shopping@gmail(.)com & 12345? If Yes, then will this break the link between my Amazon Acc and the Apay CC?

yes

yes, the link will be broken and you won't be able to track your card spends and rewards in the Amazon app.

Thanks! Thats what I wanted to know. Its a bummer tbh. I like to keep my digital footprint organized as in IRL too. This creates a small dent in it 😢
Whenever you apply for a credit card or financial product, banks share or sell your details to multiple platforms. Even if you try to minimize your digital footprint, it’s nearly impossible, someone, somewhere, is profiting from your data.
Cashback you mean?
Amazon Pay Balance that you earn using the card.
