Axis Atlas

Atlas is obviously a good card for now. But here's the problem - if Axis doesn't do anything to fix the 90-120 day points crediting issue - that would create a huge trust problem with the bank. I personally wouldn't bank with them moving forward for a couple of miles more.
Does Atlas also take 90 120 days to credit points?

. I will use Atlas only for travel spends.
Makes sense. But correct me if I am wrong (commerce guy, math is not the strongest 😂)

Atlas- ₹10,00,000 spends
5EM/₹100
So that is 50,000 EM ie 1,00,000 Points when transferred.
=10% return?

Magnus- ₹10,00,000 spends
12ER/₹200
So that is 60,000 basic + 2,50,000 Accelerated ER= 3,10,000 ER
Now as we are assuming transfer Ratio will be 5:1 that makes these 310k= 62,000 points anywhere
=6.2% return?

So how will Atlas not be better if it doesn’t gets devalued?

Also, they do say 1EM=₹1, for now. 😂

Yes. Also where the Atlas fares better now is you don't have to restrict/plan your spends(travel). Anything more than 1l/month will yield 1.2% on Magnus.

Also if you book with Atlas on let's say Vistara site, you'll get 8 CV points/100 as well, so it increases the total return to 18%. Same for hotels, you'll get the points for booking from their own site.

You'll get airline and hotel points when you book directly with them when you book with your debit card as well.

Thats why I am saying that it wont make sense to not Devalue the Atlas too. ☹️
Not like I want it to happen but just simple common sense.
🥲

Awesome, and if I hit 15L can get additional tier benefits.

Then after 15L should it be magnus or Infinia?

Have Atlas for last 3-4 months. For normal spends it is 2 Edge Miles per 100 (4% value). For Hotel and Travel sites (the owned ones), it gives 10% return. The miles are credited approx within 2-3 weeks of txn posting. Haven't faced any delay per se on that front. Point to remember if one is planning to buy points on places like IHG, it doesn't qualify as Travel and hence you get only 2% only. Personal experience. For swipes at hotels or airlines directly, full 5 edge miles (eqv. to 10%) will be credited to you. That also have I have used domestically and internationally so can confirm this. Please also note that sites like Cleartrip, Makemytrip, Airpaz etc. it is 2 EM per 100.

Infinia would be better option there I think with its ₹1 value. But after you exhaust that, then its Magnus till 1 lakh.

Why is MMT at 2EM? 😨

Yeah agreed your maths isn't the strongest. 😀

Atlas gives 2 miles / Rs. 100 or 4% returns on non direct travel/traveledge bookings and 10% on those.

Magnus can also give you better travel booking returns if you book through traveledge.

But how many people have 10L travel spends? The problem with Magnus and Reserve was the all-rounded return aspect. Especially the Magnus! You could get 25k miles on any kind of spend. That was a disaster in the making. XD

Did you read his whole comment? 15 lakhs on Travel. We are discussing travel spends here. Wow.
