Axis Bank Liberty Savings Account Benefits

Axis liberty savings account is the best savings account for individuals who can qualify by meeting any one of the following conditions:-

(1)
Maintain a minimum balance of ₹25000 in your account.

OR

(2)
Spend ₹10000** per month on food, entertainment, shopping, and travel categories using the liberty debit card,
and
(2
) Spend ₹15000^ per month at any merchant via the liberty debit card.

OR

(3)
Spend ₹25000^ per month at any merchant via the liberty debit card.


By meeting the 2nd condition, you can enjoy the following benefits with maximized savings:

(1) Zero balance account, since monthly spend of ₹25000 (₹10000** + ₹15000^) is required to receive the Non-Maintenance Charge (NMC) waiver for that particular month.

(2) 5% cashback (up to ₹500 per month), available on weekend transactions only (transactions made on Saturday and Sunday are considered).

During your birthday month, you can earn 5% cashback up to ₹1000.

(3) One complimentary domestic lounge access per quarter.

● SMS Charges: ₹17.70 × 4 = ₹71 (including GST)
● Liberty debit card annual fee: ₹354 (including GST)

1st Note:- You can now open a liberty account digitally and will receive both a virtual debit card and a physical liberty debit card. But, the virtual debit card issued with the digital axis liberty account is not the same as the e-debit card provided with other axis bank digital account variants.

2nd Note:- Quarterly gift voucher benefit linked to LIBERTY Savings Account shall be discontinued from 31th December, 2025 for all existing as well as new customers. What should I do
Your category is right but the MCC used must be different than departmental store that's why you didn't got cashback. Beware when they say Shopping as a category of cashback but there are limited MCC's of shopping eligible for cashback.

What to do? How do I know? Shoppers stop is a proper shopping store and I don't think that MCC would be excluded.
 
How to know mcc?
I use IDFC CC to know MCC of the online sites before paying. Just select UPI and pay via IDFC CC on UPI, It usually fails but you get top know the MCC in the IDFC app. Also, If your use case is genuine online shopping, then get KOTAK 811 DC. They give 5% Cashback till 500Rs. without this MCC exclusion (There are few exclusions but nominal for genuine spenders).

Also use case of this axis liberty account for me is to buy Gift cards, Amazon or Flipkart shopping, DMART etc. Here, in this places you get sure shot cashback. Also amazon pay gift cards balance are accepted in many places like Zomato, Ola etc. Also, You may use account for your genuine UPI spends, mostly for that 10k additional spends you get 750 Rs apay coupon a quarter ( 2.5% cashback not bad for offline spends).
 
For MCC on Axis DC, you've got to mostly end up e-mailing L2 customer care (even first level cc will deny it; you need to escalate and then L2 or L3 gives it).

On phone, the odds are next to zero.

Axis for CC will mostly tell the MCC on phone; but for DC they think you're some freak alien if you ask that info.

Just directly mail pno and get mcc or ask on Social media platforms they will tell

How do I get the L2 email IDs? I am mailing the RM, BM shown in app. But they don't respond
