Axis Bank Privilege Credit Card (LTF) – Worth the Upgrade?

Hey everyone,

I just got an upgrade offer for the Axis Bank Privilege Credit Card (Visa) with Lifetime Free (LTF) benefits. I'm wondering if it's worth taking.

Currently, I hold:
  • Airtel Axis Bank Mastercard
  • MyZone Axis Bank Visa
  • Combined limit: ₹1.3L
A few questions:

  1. Is this card beneficial in terms of rewards and perks?
  2. If I accept the upgrade, will my existing card be closed, or will I retain it?
  3. Will getting this card increase my chances of getting a higher variant Axis credit card in the future?

Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences! 🙌

Have a small doubt, while I was applying for this card in the pre approved section for the first time it asked for Nominee
I didn't think much and entered the name and submitted the applic.

Why did they ask for Nominee?
Today I received a call from Indusind bank as well to register Nominee details for my mother's pinnacle cc and they said if registered they will charge around 450/- monthly for that Insurance - I denied to register Nominee

Does this apply to axis privilege ?
Nope with axes 🪓

Even if they deduct, most probably will be refunded by nodal guy bcs no such info was displayed over applying or thru any other source.

Nominee registration in credit card is for the Air/Travel insurance cover that comes complimentary with some cards.

Even pinnacle has it. Do you know which insurance was Indus Ind selling? Maybe they were trying to scam you into getting something unrelated.

Yeah, they were trying to sell a chargeable insurance cover.

And yes, card issuers do ask for a nominee for some cards, but sometimes they activate chargeable protection/insurance covers for cardholders without their consent. I have never come across this with Axis cards, which is why I posted here—to check if Axis was doing the same as IndusInd.

I called Axis customer service and confirmed that no such paid plans are currently activated on my card.

And after being used it can be closed next year before renewal. However I wanted to know if it can be used in my use case scenario, i will be travelling with my 12 year old next month
Your Next Quarter lounge access is free, no need to meet the criteria as you got the card this quarter.
For using the card twice, you need to generate a QR via DF and swipe the card for the 2nd one at the counter. Generate the QR at least before 2/3 Hrs.
You can't swipe a single card at the counter back to back.
closing the card is up to you.
Not for new issued cards, atleast for next 3-4 months after issuance
50K Spend( Apr-Jun) will be required from the July - Sept quarter, lounge access.
After getting a card, the first 2 quarters don't need spending for lounge access.
