Axis Bank Privilege Credit Card (LTF) – Worth the Upgrade?

Hey everyone,


I just got an upgrade offer for the Axis Bank Privilege Credit Card (Visa) with Lifetime Free (LTF) benefits. I'm wondering if it's worth taking.



Currently, I hold:

• Airtel Axis Bank Mastercard
• MyZone Axis Bank Visa
• Combined limit: ₹1.3L

A few questions:

1. Is this card beneficial in terms of rewards and perks?
2. If I accept the upgrade, will my existing card be closed, or will I retain it?
3. Will getting this card increase my chances of getting a higher variant Axis credit card in the future?

Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences! 🙌

axis ace/airtel

10 rp per 200, so it is also 1% na. Ace and airtel have their own perks for bills

How can they decline without doing any process?

It was system-rejected. The same thing used to happen to me in 2024. Since then, I always get my cards from the pre-approved section or through customer care.

They will not approve the card from your previous application. At best they can ask you to apply again.

Which means they will do a hard check on CIBIL once again. If so, will they not get the same discrepancy again?

Once the same thing happened with a relative of mine, they approved the card from the backend. Without any new Cibil hit.

Today I closed my LTF Axis my zone credit card in afternoon, now I can 10 credit card preapproved. This options arrived after closing my zone. I already hold flipkart LTF and airtel paid. Told cc in order to get some good card plz close my zone card she was ready to give 2500 points to avoid closure. Axis seems to be fast within 8 hours offers started in Axis app for preapproved credit card.

Today got a call telling me to apply on call. I told let me check and convince myself first. She was like... sir aapko code nehi pata hoga. Main callback arrange krta hun. Is their any additional benifits for us if we apply through call? Like more LTF option and all?

Idfc same situation, but took their code as I was happy with them at the moment.

No Axis will not close your card as it is not an upgrade, Once you get the new card, you can close your existing card if you want otherwise CL will be shared between both the cards

There is no additional benefit for you to apply the card on call, you received the call because you went to the apply now section and did not complete the flow, such incidents where customers have showed interest are picked up tele agents and they get incentive for any customer they convert that is why they insist you to apply on call with them enter their Code which will make sure they get the incentive, you may get multiple calls till the time there is an incomplete application on the system and everyone insisting to add their code to your application

Based on my details they said I was eligible for the Atlas but it was paid. I didn't see much use in paying for a card that's not much use for me (it's a great card otherwise). I asked for any LTF card and they applied for the Privilege Card. Today I got a message that it's been approved and will be shipped shortly.
Easiest way to get these cards is at the Kiosks at Airports, Malls etc. I just took this card to get into the Axis ecosystem.

I realised I made a mistake not taking the Atlas. I called up Customer Care and asked if I could get the Atlas. They said I can only take it if the offer shows up in my app. They offered me the horizon instead. Since I was not interested they just gave me the Amex Variant of the Privilege for free.
