Axis Magnus Meet and Greet Experience Review

TF Buzz
Hello there!

Allow me to share with you my review of the Axis Bank Magnus Meet and Greet Service.

Recently, I had the pleasure of flying from Bangalore to Delhi using Vistara Business Class, thanks to a complementary ticket I received via my Axis Bank VI card. As I had a significant amount of luggage with me - five pieces totaling approximately 60 kg in weight - I opted to utilize the Meet and Greet Service, which provides a porter at both airports.

Here's a timeline of events:

Flight Date and Time: April 28th, 7:40 PM
April 25th: Booked Meet and Greet service for both Delhi and Bangalore airports.

April 26th: Called the Axis Bank concierge to confirm my booking. I was informed that my request was still being processed, and I would receive confirmation no sooner than 24 hours before departure.

April 27th, 10 PM: Contacted the concierge once again for an update. They confirmed that the service had been confirmed for Delhi, but not yet for Bangalore. They assured me that it would be done by midnight and I would receive details by morning.

April 28th, 8 AM: Followed up with the concierge, who promised to call me back within the hour with more information.

April 28th, 11 AM: Still no call, no confirmation, and feeling increasingly anxious about my luggage. I contacted the concierge once again and was assured that I would receive a callback within the hour.

April 28th, 1 PM: Still no response, and my anxiety levels were rising. I called the concierge again, and they informed me that they were waiting for a response from the vendor. Again, I was promised a callback.

April 28th, 4 PM: I was frustrated and upset, having received no confirmation or callback. I decided to book a cab and head to the airport. Sadly, due to the concierge's lack of communication, I would be forced to handle my luggage on my own.

April 28th, 5 PM: While en route to the airport, I received a call from the Meet and Greet Service Provider at the Bangalore airport, informing me that they were waiting for me and asking about my ETA and cab number. This was a pleasant surprise after the ordeal with the concierge.

April 28th, 6 PM: Upon arrival, I was greeted by three individuals who located my cab and swiftly took charge of my luggage. Within five minutes, I was comfortably seated in the lounge.

April 28th, 11 PM: Upon arrival in Delhi, I received a WhatsApp message from the Meet and Greet Provider informing me that they would be waiting for me at the aerobridge, holding a placard with my name on it. They were waiting for me at the exit gate and quickly collected my luggage from the conveyor belt, escorting me to the pickup point.

Overall, my experience with the Meet and Greet Service Provider was fantastic. However, the lack of communication and partnership between Axis Bank Concierge and the Meet and Greet Service Vendor was incredibly frustrating, causing a great deal of anxiety and hassle. I hope that Axis Bank can improve their processes in this regard, ensuring a smoother experience for their customers.

Used it in mumbai domestic airport terminal departure this weeked. Didnt feel like it add any value here. No dedicated First class security check lane in T1 so had to wait in queue with the wallet both while entering the airport as well as security check.
They just carry the bags untill I entered the lounge, which felt awkward since I only had a backpack.

This is useful service at 1. International Departures/Arrivals since you mostly get priority clearance.
2. Travelling with Family where having someone to carry your luggage is helpful.
For an individual traveller with just a bag, it will definately be wierd.

This is hilarious 😂. I could literally visualise the whole scenario

Does anyone here know which vendor provides Meet and Greet for Axis in Bangalore? Concierge claims it is Pranaam butI can't find details of Pranaam servicing BLR.

I ended up mentioning the time I would reach the airport on the form instead of flight time, will that cause an issue?
It should be okay. They check your uploaded ticket too and adjust accordingly.
I booked mine for 5 hrs before my flight since I was transiting (hence reaching early). But they changed the time to 3hrs before my departing flight 🤷‍♂️

I wanted to check if someone know about this - How about kids ?
My daughter is 3 years old - Will she get counted in the quota of 8 ? Or Should I select only 1 additional passenger in portal for my wife or 2 for my wife and daughter both ? What happens if I select only 1 ?

@ishag you have mentioned they changed the time to 3 hours before the departure, But I generally prefer to reach 4 hours prior at Bangalore airport and this time it's international flight as well for which I want to book.

Will the provide service 4 hours prior ?

We used the meet and greet in Bangalore last month and our 3 year old daughter was not counted. I had booked for 2 ppl and that was fine.

They book for 3 hours before the departure. But they call much earlier in the day enquiring about the time you would reach the airport. You can let them know your planned arrival time. Eg: our flight was at 11pm and the booking was for 8pm. But I got a call in the afternoon itself from the executive and I mentioned that I would be reaching at 7PM.

I am trying to book the airport conceirge service on the website but it is not going through. It is giving error saying “An issue occurred during validation, please try again later”. I am thinking of emailing them. What all details will they need in email?

I have used the meet & greet program twice till now. Both the time I didn't book for my 1 year kid. They didn't raise concern.

And about reaching the airport early, once I have to call the Axis concierge team to change the service time (this was little painfull, had to make 2-3 calls and I was on the way to airport). 2nd time was very smooth, someone reached out to me 10hours before my flight time asking about the time I am reaching the airport.

I recently used the service on mumbai international arrivals. The folks are present when you de-board the aircraft and take you in a buggy right uptil the immigration check. Then they just ask you to go to the business class counters but told me they are not authorised to do that so some officer can easily ask you to go to the other line!!

The experience turned out to be great but i was hoping that immigration fast track through the business class section was part of this M&G. Incidentally, it is not and down to luck only. Rest they help with the luggage and drop you to your cab/pick-up point.

All in all decent experience but not sure if it will be that way always.

Sad to hear that we don't get to use the Business class queues at immigration on arrival when using Axis M&G. Wonder why this is the case when M&G uses business class queues on departure from Mumbai T2.
Still, the buggy ride must be surely worth it. I hate the long walk to immigration after a long flight.

Meet and Greet Experience in Mumbai Terminal 2 (Departure)

Booking and Confirmation

Booking was smooth through the Extra Ordinary Weekends site. On the day of the departure(8 hours before) got a call from Pranaam Service asking for the time I reach the airport.

On Reaching Airport

A porter with a Staff was waiting at Gate 1. On entering through Gate 1, a buggy was waiting for us. It took us directly to check in counter.

Check In

As we were having Economy tickets, no priority check in was there. We have to wait with the porter in the normal queue. After check in buggy took us to the Security check.

Security Check

Here security check was done through Business class check in. Very less people was there and potter will also come with us. After that, he will guide to the Immigration Counter.

Immigration

Here the immigration was done through Business class. When I handed over my ticket the officer asked who let you here. I told him it was Pranaam service. He asked for the potter and then demanded the potter for his ID. The officer was not happy with Economy folks entering through the Business class counter. He was arguing with the potter that then every economy people can take Pranaam service and enter through the business class line. Anyway, he let us through. After that I told the potter I would like to go to lounge.

Lounge

The potter took us to Loyalty Lounge. There was a long queue for entering the lounge. The potter took us to nearby kiosk where we can swipe the card ourselves and get the receipt for the lounge. After getting the receipt we skipped the line and entered the lounge after giving the slip to the lounge employee. The lounge was overcrowded with no place to sit. So he took us upstairs where there was a relaxing area with some snacks. He dropped us there and informed another person will come before boarding.

Boarding

After having food, a potter came and took us to the buggy. Our gate was too far and has to go one floor down. So at first, the buggy took us to the elevator and then after going down the elevator another buggy was waiting. It took us to the gate and dropped us there.

At the Gate

Pranaam people will leave us at the gate and from there we are our own, no priority boarding.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Did you get any confirmation from the extraordinary weekends website? I'm flying out tonight, but status there still shows enquired.
