Axis Magnus Meet and Greet Experience Review

TF Buzz
Hello there!

Allow me to share with you my review of the Axis Bank Magnus Meet and Greet Service.

Recently, I had the pleasure of flying from Bangalore to Delhi using Vistara Business Class, thanks to a complementary ticket I received via my Axis Bank VI card. As I had a significant amount of luggage with me - five pieces totaling approximately 60 kg in weight - I opted to utilize the Meet and Greet Service, which provides a porter at both airports.

Here's a timeline of events:

Flight Date and Time: April 28th, 7:40 PM
April 25th: Booked Meet and Greet service for both Delhi and Bangalore airports.

April 26th: Called the Axis Bank concierge to confirm my booking. I was informed that my request was still being processed, and I would receive confirmation no sooner than 24 hours before departure.

April 27th, 10 PM: Contacted the concierge once again for an update. They confirmed that the service had been confirmed for Delhi, but not yet for Bangalore. They assured me that it would be done by midnight and I would receive details by morning.

April 28th, 8 AM: Followed up with the concierge, who promised to call me back within the hour with more information.

April 28th, 11 AM: Still no call, no confirmation, and feeling increasingly anxious about my luggage. I contacted the concierge once again and was assured that I would receive a callback within the hour.

April 28th, 1 PM: Still no response, and my anxiety levels were rising. I called the concierge again, and they informed me that they were waiting for a response from the vendor. Again, I was promised a callback.

April 28th, 4 PM: I was frustrated and upset, having received no confirmation or callback. I decided to book a cab and head to the airport. Sadly, due to the concierge's lack of communication, I would be forced to handle my luggage on my own.

April 28th, 5 PM: While en route to the airport, I received a call from the Meet and Greet Service Provider at the Bangalore airport, informing me that they were waiting for me and asking about my ETA and cab number. This was a pleasant surprise after the ordeal with the concierge.

April 28th, 6 PM: Upon arrival, I was greeted by three individuals who located my cab and swiftly took charge of my luggage. Within five minutes, I was comfortably seated in the lounge.

April 28th, 11 PM: Upon arrival in Delhi, I received a WhatsApp message from the Meet and Greet Provider informing me that they would be waiting for me at the aerobridge, holding a placard with my name on it. They were waiting for me at the exit gate and quickly collected my luggage from the conveyor belt, escorting me to the pickup point.

Overall, my experience with the Meet and Greet Service Provider was fantastic. However, the lack of communication and partnership between Axis Bank Concierge and the Meet and Greet Service Vendor was incredibly frustrating, causing a great deal of anxiety and hassle. I hope that Axis Bank can improve their processes in this regard, ensuring a smoother experience for their customers.

Meet and Greet Experience in Mumbai Terminal 2 (Departure)

Booking and Confirmation

Booking was smooth through the Extra Ordinary Weekends site. On the day of the departure(8 hours before) got a call from Pranaam Service asking for the time I reach the airport.

On Reaching Airport

A porter with a Staff was waiting at Gate 1. On entering through Gate 1, a buggy was waiting for us. It took us directly to check in counter.

Check In

As we were having Economy tickets, no priority check in was there. We have to wait with the porter in the normal queue. After check in buggy took us to the Security check.

Security Check

Here security check was done through Business class check in. Very less people was there and potter will also come with us. After that, he will guide to the Immigration Counter.

Immigration

Here the immigration was done through Business class. When I handed over my ticket the officer asked who let you here. I told him it was Pranaam service. He asked for the potter and then demanded the potter for his ID. The officer was not happy with Economy folks entering through the Business class counter. He was arguing with the potter that then every economy people can take Pranaam service and enter through the business class line. Anyway, he let us through. After that I told the potter I would like to go to lounge.

Lounge

The potter took us to Loyalty Lounge. There was a long queue for entering the lounge. The potter took us to nearby kiosk where we can swipe the card ourselves and get the receipt for the lounge. After getting the receipt we skipped the line and entered the lounge after giving the slip to the lounge employee. The lounge was overcrowded with no place to sit. So he took us upstairs where there was a relaxing area with some snacks. He dropped us there and informed another person will come before boarding.

Boarding

After having food, a potter came and took us to the buggy. Our gate was too far and has to go one floor down. So at first, the buggy took us to the elevator and then after going down the elevator another buggy was waiting. It took us to the gate and dropped us there.

At the Gate

Pranaam people will leave us at the gate and from there we are our own, no priority boarding.
It’s not all people walk through. Only specia category. I hope he says the same to a minister or his family who walk in thru with economy ticket 🙃

I booked the service for Delhi T3- domestic flight for experience.

Just wanted to confirm if I'll be able to bypass the security check as well? They have given service time as 90 minutes before the departure.
Will it be safe/comfortable to do the formalities and also use the lounge facility in this period?

I had a great meet and greet experience at Mumbai T2 - International Arrival last week. The total time taken to reach the P5 parking was between 15-20 minutes. I was traveling on Economy ticket and Immigration was done through Business Class counters. Most of my time was spent at the baggage carousel waiting for the checked bags.

Magnus has 8 complimentary meet and greet services - and apparently if you booked for 4 persons at once, 4 out of the 8 services will be considered used. I was assuming one can have 8 instances of using these services in an year, even if there are add-on persons travelling with you at the same time. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes if you have 4 pax and use the service twice, your 8 services are over. Basically they check how many people in ticket u sent them.

Expect the immigration, everything else will be handled by them and it wont take you more than 3-4 mins and at any point. They will take you in using different security check in gate, which is mostly empty.

Yes! Previously I thought it was separate instances despite having multiple passengers. Now I have already booked and used it like you have mentioned - 4 pax and two services. It will be replenished for next calendar year, i.e. Jan 2024 onwards.

Bangalore airport international arrival is currently restricted by Airport Authority Of India. For International Departure, Domestic Arrival and Domestic Departure is still supported as per the email confirmation I received today. So, to book the 3 categories, you have call/email and place request

Priority security (at departure) through Axis M&G stopped at Mumbai T2. I availed last week and was told I have to clear security as per my travel class (also mentioned in the WhatsApp message sent by Pranaam). In summary, M&G service now essentially provides only buggy service and therefore good for nothing according to me.

Skip que is only available via dinners network if you buy, meet and greet service is only poter service nothing more, after your bags are checked in they don't carry your bags etc security check is same que, bags checkin same que. if its cabin bag they dont carry it or assist you, boarding flight normal que. ( all services are over totally worthless service). You wanted proper service you have to buy directly from dreamfolks or consern airport. Using card service is now a useless service, Indian banks or the company where service is avalied in more they deteriorate service, can't maintain like other countries.

No wonder why axis removed it.

I received fast track service through security (regular) and at the immigration desk (through business class) even when travelling on Economy when I travelled internationally last month, on 31 March 2023. Service was booked through Axis!

Must be a recent change. I traveled last week as I said and was denied priority security. However, passport control through business class counters was allowed.

This must be a recent change as I had also received priority security and immigration for both arrival and departure at T2 Mumbai in February 2024.
Also, wanted to check if the meet and greet service booked before the recent devaluation of Magnus will be honored? I have an upcoming travel in May for which I had booked meet and greet in March.
