I opened my Bank of India savings account through video KYC, and they issued me a RuPay Classic debit card. However, I wanted the RuPay Platinum debit card since both have the same annual charges. So, I hotlisted the Classic debit card before activation and applied for the Platinum debit card through the branch.

Initially, I faced issues accessing the Star Rewardz portal for several weeks. I escalated the matter to the MD's desk, and eventually, the issue was resolved. Now, I am waiting for the reward points to be credited to my account, but they have not been credited yet. I am concerned that hotlisting the Classic debit card might be causing this problem.

FYI, I am already using the SBI VDC for credit card bill payments. I just want to ensure that I am receiving reward points for my BOI debit card transactions.

You will receive it don't worry. Rupay cards are eligible. Most of cards issued by BoI are eligible for rewards.

12-15 days for normal and another 15 days for bonus. If you have SBI use Virtual DC (preferably VISA/Master) and get 0.50% instead of 0.46% with BoI for time being as SBI again started giving 4 RPs per 200. Once they stop it again, use BoI.

Just 200 ka trxn kiya SBI virtual RuPay DC generate kar k SBI unipay me.

Wait kar leta hu upto 15 days. Agar Reward na aaya toh complaint karunga.

Bhai, 15 days wait period is for BoI not SBI. RPs with SBI gets delayed occassionally.
