Issue Resolved Can’t apply for IDFC First app sticker

See the screenshot attached, basically when I’m trying to apply for the second time for the first tap sticker because for the first time I had a wealth account which got upgraded to private, and then the sticker was closed and from last two weeks, I’m trying to apply, but it is always throw a error. and yes, I have already emailed my RM. I have called to the customer care. They don’t a clue have reinstalled the app, still the same error. Anybody face this issue? How do they resolve it?

Update - 26/02/2025 - to resolve this error of "unable to process your request" call your RM/BM and tell them you can't apply and you need First tap so this is backend issue so in a day or two card will be available for Pin generation automatically.

@vaibhav111 I am up for an upgrade from select to wealth. I have the FirstTap sticker. Can I prevent this somehow? I don't want to lose the card.

I had same issue after select to wealth upgrade. Ended up losing first tap but got wealth.

Customer care said my old card got closed. I sent emails and took over 3 weeks to get my new first tap. Only good thing is they issued welcome benefits again.

Do this spend 1.5k and get 4K point and then again get 8k point only downside you will have to wait. So tell RM to issue you a new first tap and try to pay 117 once cause it will auto closed so not your fault.

Update - local brand rm called and said tomorrow issue will be resolved cause backed team will resolved it by tomorrow.

@vaibhav111 , let me know if this would work for my select to wealth upgrade

1. I hotlist my current select debit card and generate a new one (won't mind paying a small fee)
2. this way the select card becomes the last debit card
3. I upgrade to wealth and the select card gets upgraded instead of FirstTap

Any idea if this would work?

The thing is, my branch guys can easily be replaced with monkeys and monkeys would come on top in terms of intelligence. I don't wanna waste my time.

You have select dc and any other Idfc dc? Then apply for first tap for select get 4K point and the wealth 8k and 8k for first pay again for second time it will take time to generate either way for second time you would need to help of Idfc dc team or rm would help you. Just for 4K you won’t want to waste your time then wait for wealth upgrade then.

update - Issue resolved gave another shot in the morning and pin was generated and paid 2,000 bill via phonepe. now looking forward for 20,000 RP. and regular point on 2k trnx.

montly capping for private is there too? if there i haven't had a chance to use idfc to pay any cc bill so what the capping for each variant.. just curious

I have opened new account, at present its in Normal Saving. If I apply Firsttap card now, do I need to apply Firsttap again on conversion to wealth or will existing Firsttap automatically gets converted. or shall I apply after upgrade to wealth.

After upgrading to Wealth you need to re-apply
