Issue Resolved Can’t apply for IDFC First app sticker

See the screenshot attached, basically when I’m trying to apply for the second time for the first tap sticker because for the first time I had a wealth account which got upgraded to private, and then the sticker was closed and from last two weeks, I’m trying to apply, but it is always throw a error. and yes, I have already emailed my RM. I have called to the customer care. They don’t a clue have reinstalled the app, still the same error. Anybody face this issue? How do they resolve it?

Update - 26/02/2025 - to resolve this error of "unable to process your request" call your RM/BM and tell them you can't apply and you need First tap so this is backend issue so in a day or two card will be available for Pin generation automatically.

I can assure you if you follow my procedure you wont face any future headache.

First block first tap dc
2nd block your first select dc
Reissue first select dc and let it show in your app
Activate first select dc

Now upgrade to wealth

After wealth dc starts showing in your app Activate it and then apply for first tap again.

So for me, I have to first block the Firstap before upgrading to Wealth DC, after that reapply Firstap with Wealth DC.

It will work, the problem is your FirsTap is linked with the current DC when you close that and get a new DC, you will able to get another one with the new DC.

@vaibhav111 Let me explain why you are not able to apply for it again. Idfc is having some sort of last debit card replacing/upgrading system. Basically they upgrade the last issued debit card so if you had firsttap before upgrading to wealth then their system upgraded your first tap to wealth dc and now it won't let u apply for firsttap again until you close wealth dc.

This is a big glitch in their system. They should have replaced regular debit card but their system is replacing last issued card.

I know this because a friend of mine had select banking with both select dc and first tap dc and then he upgraded to wealth banking. Idfc upgraded his first tap to wealth dc and now he holds both dc select and wealth together. He is fighting for first tap from months but no use.

So basically if you are upgrading your banking program in idfc then block your firsttap dc and replace your regular dc so their system changes the last issued card to new dc.

He cannot use his firstap as welath card to bill payments or does he have both card so he gets according to select varient what is the issue didn't got your point

Yes bro and IDFC block your rewards account and bank account. Hold your money for next 1 year. 🤣🤣

Already, many users IDFC Rewards accounts and bank accounts are blocked and money stuck because of this stupid thing.

I replaced my one when my DC was blocked by the system and they were unable to solve it.

I didn't wanted to do this i asked only because i have just converted into wealth and someone said to block and replace the card for firstap or else it will cause an issue to get firstap with wealth so that's why i asked can i get 4k points so before it gets automatic block due to activation of wealth debit card that's my point was

Yes, you can get 4K before closing.

I just did that due to above firstap issue and did only once u also said to block and replace so that it can detect last card as select so there will be no issue to get first tap on wealth debit card i did that accordingly and it's only one time my account got successfully upgraded to wealth is it safe now? Or they will block me for this one time issue? @Abhishek012

They will not block you if you have a proper reason. Blocking happens to prevent users from misusing them.
