Can one apply for Axis core card after getting co branded card as first card?

HDFC gives problem when one applies for core card if they are having co branded card as 1st card.
Is this an issue with Axis too?
Can one apply easily for core card if they are already having co branded card like FK or Airtel Axis as their first card?

Don't give unnecessary ideas to AXIS..
We could not handle AXIS as it is now.. and you are giving them extra ideas..

In case axis ace is considered cobranded, then it was my first card too
Also having CC in axis makes it easier to apply for some cards (if you are fine with paid variant) - just call them and ask upgrade to other card and it will be done if eligible based on CL I think and number of cards. Just that the new one should be different type of reward structure like cashback / rewards / miles so that the old one doesn't get closed

My first axis cc was flipkart axis card.
Second was airtel axis.
And i could get axis select.
