can students get amex gold charge card??

i saw many posts of ppl here and on reddit saying they got amex cc like smart earn and mrcc with no income documents by choosing the student option

i have one friend who also got mrcc by choosing student with 25k limit

is it possible to get gold charge card by choosing student or not?

@BestBanker is it possible?? i have 4 credit cards with 1L highest limit in apay card score is 780 is c2c possible for gold charge if student not possible??

Legally - No.

The income requirement is min 6 lacs to get the AmEx Gold Charge card.
No income means no card.

Are there some loopholes that people have exploited and gotten it? Yes.

Is it worth it? Probably not.

At this age, you shouldn't have a credit card with unlimited limit.
It can get you into debt trap and spoil your future.

Will sound boring but focus on your studies, get a high paying job and then get any credit card you want! 🙂

I have declared myself as student in employment status and got smart earn and mrcc cc with good limits. No income proofs demanded.

But card user must do genuine txns and not rotate or do a lot of big txns, as Amex can run a financial check any time after card issuance and cancel card if supporting docs are not provided.

mrcc and gold charge have the same criteria right bro

gold charge has a shadow limit it is not truly no limit it is dynamic and amex will appropriately match the limit to my spending power after a couple of months correct bro?

but mrcc is approved when choosing student as employment is there proof of gold charge being approved also??

You can apply as a Salaried or self-employed person with a salary of 6LPA. If you have a good CIBIL history, then they might not ask for the salary/ITR documents.
However, you will require good credit discipline (So think twice before applying).

Every card page mentions eligibility. Does not matter when Amex is itself approving cards with no or lower income declared.

They have not mentioned a lot of serviceable cities on card page, but still they issue. It does not mean we are illegally getting cards
