same happened to me, i call like 10 min ago, she said retention might call or might not, cancellation take 4 days for cancellation and now axis fk is disappeared from the axis app.The guy from CS directly cancelled my card without forward my call to retention team. I didn't get any communication regarding cancelation but card just disappeared from app. Like I said, they just want to cancel as many as possible.
you can call axis and request for renewal and if not succeeded using for 11 month and then cancel. until you need space for some other axis cc.They charged me a renewal fee in dec month statement, (i forgot that my card had dec month renewal date), now i have to bear the loss i think for this years fee, so should I keep it for this year as well? and cancel it next year in oct month, like 1 or 2 month before renewal date? or if i request cancellation next in oct 2024, they will again charge me renewal fee?

I just had a chat with Axis support, they registered a ticket and money got credited in 3-4 working days. Just had to provide cancelled cheque photo.
