Capping of Cashback on Axis Bank Freecharge Credit Card!

I was under the impression that Axis Bank Freecharge Plus Credit Card had no capping on cashback, but after going through the welcome letter I was in for a bit of a shock! There is now a cap of ₹500 per month on cashback. Was this capping from the start or has Axis Bank surreptitiously slipped in this capping?

Axis is notorious for constantly changing their charges and offers, there was no capping earlier.

I've seen a lot of people getting this new clause in their welcome letter. Most likely that they have indeed capped it.

Is it Freecharge Plus or Freecharge credit card?

Is it Freecharge Plus or Freecharge credit card?
Freecharge Plus! Looks like they are using the old welcome letter, they have not edited or removed the ₹500 cap on cashback clause in the letter. There was a cap initially which was later removed, now it is unlimited.

No it is the other way around. Initially there was a cap of ₹500 which was later removed. Now it is unlimited. They are still using the old welcome letter without editing the clause. I enquired around and came to know about this.

Wow- Axis is definitely on another level. I have a friend which got the card about 3 months back and his letter stated unlimited cashback and some people that just got it had this capping clause.

Great to hear that it is not the case as it would've made the card pretty bad.

Like where? How do I know if I am eligible or not? Do I need to apply to check or is it restricted before hand?
open the freecharge app, there is a tab on bottom right lbelled "Financial services". there you can find credit card option, click on it, if they think you are eligible you will taken to application page and if not then they display the msg you not eligible.

Okay, looks like I am eligible. Though I have used Freecharge only once that too for a UPI transaction. I just use it fetch my CIBIL score.
