Press all things which finally takes to human cust care
Say them that u got abroad job assignment and u will be moving out of country for couple of years
They reconfirm and generate a service request and send sms to u
3 days later u get mail Reg closure confirmation
All done
Login app u will get error post account closed
I closed my Au Royale account last month. Just need to select the Video Banking option from the app.
However, need to keep the PAN Card ready and also need to have a cancelled cheque image on the phone to share during the chat for balance/interest transfer.
Received the closure confirmation message immediately and balance was transferred 2 days later.
Specifically gave the reason that I was extremely unhappy with the new T&C introduced from June 1 as well as all the devaluation.
However, need to keep the PAN Card ready and also need to have a cancelled cheque image on the phone to share during the chat for balance/interest transfer.

Wow! I am on the verge of closing this card. The card fee is ₹200+ gst. After reading thing, I just pondered and it turned out that I get more than the fee paid. For ex- even if you sell for max 50 discount the utility offer, you're getting ₹600 (plus some hassle of doing the transaction) 🥲
Also, the card is helpful on swiggy/ Zomato. Plus rupay offers wherever applicable.

The rupay plat dc is still worth if u use it for amazon friday offer
I suggst u use the account there's no need to close it unless u can't manage too many accs

Thanks for the reply. I dont have much DCs, but multiple CCs which are getting out of control. lol.
I don't have problem managing multiple DCs as no payment has to be made. Just fed up of paying charges on this card. I have also missed amazon utility offer twice for the card as I could not sell it for 70 profit.

damn! I opened digital account btw. Ok, I am not in a loss, so I can keep it, it just the annual fee and SMS charges that bothers me. Plus, we do not know whether amazon offer will continue next year or not.
