You can disable sms charges and block debit card without reissue.. contact customer care or doit inside app
I think it's better to keep sms service active, they charges only around 10 rupees/Quarter, but i will deactivate debit card of AU surely before March' 2026

I have been using AU online account since it launched withut an ATM card. Not a problem.
Was offered au ixigo card without CIBIL hit or vkyc.
Great service till now

Are they charging for transaction SMS? If a bank charges for transactions SMS but they were not charging earlier then two things become clear: one – the bank did a bait and switch; and two – they are desperate. Neither looks good.

Transaction SMS should be considered a bare minimum security feature of a bank account in today's world.

I am very confused....I am not sure whether to close the account also with dc or not. 🥲
Please help
Online opened accounts are Zero Balance. Closing Debit Card and stopping SMS alerts will make this account free. On Closing you will not be ableto get AU bank zero balance account again in future.

If I temporarily block the debit card, will they charge fees? Or will they not charge until it is blocked.....thinking of keeping it temporarily blocked as I can use in future if required???
Please help
