Converted my SBI SimplyClick card to LTF by Card retention team

I have initiated card closure request for my existing SBI SimplyClick card through SBI Card app on Monday. And today card retention team called me and converted it to LTF (Life time free) without any hesitation. The confirmation email will be send within 3 days.

I have done the same with my mom's card 1 week back. She had the card for around ~4 years and used occasionally for spends within 20k.
I was also surprised that they immediately called next day and made it LTF without any discussion.

Just raise closure request in app & they'll call you back.

after closure request reason has to be selected but there is no such annual fees reltd option which was there before..other types of fee reltd options like card replcement fees, late fees, finance charges etc. are there..

Yes they just called & after conversation finally offered me annual fee (499/-) reversal but not LTF. My Simplyclick is 7 months old & I agreed.

How you got annual fee reversal your card is only 7 month old (annual fee applied after 11 th month) 🤔

Reversal for NEXT YEAR or CREIDTED YOU the CURRENT YEAR's Fee that you had already paid at the start?

Same here. They said LTF offer is not going in currently, what they can do it fee reversal. So I’ve to place card closure request again when annual fee is levied.

Same here. They said LTF offer is not going in currently, what they can do it fee reversal. So I’ve to place card closure request again when annual fee is levied.

Do they return gst amount too, when reverse the annual fees?
