Eligibility Criteria for ICICI Emeralde Private Metal - Discussion

2.95% + GST processing fee added on Amazon, Flipkart and Swiggy. EPM has taken a lead by introducing fee on Swiggy here which HDFC is yet to do. 🙂
Just a couple of months after iShop was introduced, HDFC added a higher convenience fee on Amazon & Flipkart vouchers.
ICICI reacted by adding 2.5% + GST within a month, slightly lower than HDFC. Also included Swiggy to the list.

Look at the bright side, it is now HDFC's turn to copy something from ICICI. This is definitely ICICI's year in CC game, at-least we'll get a new winner in the devaluation rank-list. Axis has been winning this game for quite some-time.

Later on Zomato Money, Ola Money and many more. I guess Myntra will be on the Queue too.
I feel, before iSHop gets formally launched they will do all that. The worst hit is going to be Times Black. Sapphiro and below cards were offered LTF to many so no issues.
EPM's fee gets compensated by 12.5K points, worst case mai GST to vasool ho hi jayega.

Times Black is a pretty bad card if you take out iShop benefits.

The pre-existing luxury benefits may be of some use to a few super-rich people, but I don't think those people would care about 12% cashback/rewards that much. For general public who have high income, I don't think it is a card that one should have in their wallet.

What I find stupid is the timing of this introduction of convenience fee. A couple of days back ICICI was having a bunch of CC/Travel influencers on X posting about Times Black and its benefits (without any disclaimer of paid promotion). And today they have reduced the return % significantly for vouchers that most people buy. Sort of premature to reap the benefit of those advertisements.

Yes, for lounge access, it definitely makes sense.
Plus card for 12+ years is allowed to other variants also. Not just EPM.
In Apay, no Plus card is allowed. Even if one is 18+.

On another note - ICICI allows kids of below 12 years to open and self operate bank account. Have it in my family for 10 years old. She has her own customer id, wealth debit card, can transfer funds, do upi etc.

While HDFC and several other banks dont allow self operate.
Got the add-on card for my minor son today. Smooth process.
Also, I can see the base as well as bonus points from iShop under "view card details" in netbanking. However, nothing is visible under "ICICI Bank Rewards"

Congrats for the add-on card.

I am able to see base points when i look at the transaction details.
But not getting the points credited to my card account. Not even got points credited for transaction done outside iShop.
My reward points balance is same as it was 2 months ago. Infact bill has been generated today morning itself. 😢

Looks like some manual intervention/update is required on my account.
Have sent email to customer care. Lets see.

Try the following path in netbanking and let me know if you see the updated points balance

Cards & loans-> Select Card -> View CVV. This is open your card details. See the "My Reward Point Details" section for points balance.

Thanks for this path.
The numbers showing are weird and doesnot match any algorithm.
Couldn't create any logic in opening balance, earned during the month and closing points.
They also differ from what is mentioned in statement.

ICICI customer care is saying that it would take upto 5 days from bill generation to sort it.
Would wait for this. The bill was generated today morning.

Earned during the month, I guess, is the bonus points and opening balance is the base points from the transactions in the statement. It all matched in my case.

In my case, net-banking doesnot match anything. Will need to wait for a couple of days to get it updated.
Better I would look at imobile, as I have been following that number and numbers in the statement.

But ideally both imobile and netbanking numbers should match.

Except for the path I told you I don't see my rewards anywhere may be because my card is pretty new. Not sure if they enable the rewards after payment of fee or something.

My opening balance is higher, as there are reward points of last few months.
Earned during the month is too low - its less than the base points mentioned in the statement.

ICICI doesn't waits for fee realization.
For setting the card on mobile app, need to confirm with people who have only card, without account. @BVC can guide on this.

Hope your first credit card monthly statement is generated and came on email.

In My iMobile I can see base rewards per transaction, it shows against each and every txn.. so atleast base rewards are clear.. Will wait for first month bill Generation to see how long Bonus rewards take to appear..

I thought you had earlier said that you refused to open a wealth account while applying for EPM. Anyways its good.
Hope the beta dust settles soon and proper functioning starts.
