Extra Cibil enquiry removal for applying for Tata Neu

Recently I got a referral link for Tata neu LTF and followed up the link to find the offer on my hdfcbank website (There was no cibil hit there as It was 'chose your card' > 'confirm your details'). As I was getting only neu plus ltf, I thought of checking the TATA neu app, there after putting the OTP, it resulted in a cibil enquiry and had shown me Neu plus FYF.

So, I went back to HDFC net banking to proceed with my application (second enquiry). And it was approved within a day.

Now, my question is, can I ask HDFC bank to remove the first enquiry as it was for the same card but with a worse renewal benefit?

Yes, just get cibil report from any website, the cibil report has to have control number on it. Then mail Grievance.Redressalcc@hdfcbank.com to remove the cibil enquiry.

I have a cibil subscription, so, I should just take the control number and mail redressal directly or customer care first?

Take download of the official cibil report with control number, attach it to mail. Then mention that there was double CIBIL enquiry for a single card and mention the dates requesting to remove the extra Cibil enquiry.

That's what I did around this time last year, they removed it in around 2 months.

According to OP, there's been a single CIBIL enquiry till now. I doubt they'll entertain his request as he willingly proceeded to check for eligibility which resulted in CIBIL enquiry

Nah nah, there has been 2 enquiries for 1 card, I want that extra enquiry to go away, I indeed put the mail mentioning such. Will update ya'll if I get positive reply!

Sure man, just sent a mail regarding this latest CC and one like 3-4 months back when I was entirely new to these discussions and HDFC did like 11 enquiries in a span of 6 months

How much time it took to reflect in cibil repot?
