Federal card rejection - RBIO complaint

Hello guys,

I applied for federal bank credit card and it was rejected without any proper reason. They have also mentioned that their decision is not directed by my credit worthiness

I requested to provide precise reason of rejection as per the RBI guideline and they didn’t oblige.

I raised a complaint to RBIO for the same. Today I got a reply from them that the bank account statement I uploaded (while applying) was not as per their expected format.

I have attached SS

However, I uploaded the standard ICICI bank account statement which they provide through email. If it is not as per their expected format, how did it go through the initial validation (by their system)?

This is a bogus excuse they are making up to avoid RBI charges.

Please advise, what should I do now?

My application for new credit card was rejected in August this year. After reading comments here I didn't file any complaint with RBIO.

But then one day last week I was too bored as I had nothing interesting to do. So I decided to raise the old Federal card issue with RBIO. Two days after the I raised the complaint with RBIO, I received a response from Federal Bank Credit Card Escalation team:

"As per the Bank's policy for credit cards, a customer is being assessed based on various criteria's. There is an internal scoring model for customers applying for a Federal Credit Card and your application has been declined as it did not meet the threshold limit of this scoring model. Hope this addresses your query."

This response is even more vague than their original reply. Let's see how RBIO responds to this!!
