Get Canara Bank RuPay Select Credit and Debit Card - at Zero Joining and Annaul fees

By now many of you would have realised the outsized benefits of RuPay Select Credit and Debit Cards. I recently discovered that a Salary Account with Canara Bank gives you their RuPay Select Credit and Debit Card without any joining fees. Some categories even get 'LTF', i.e. with zero annual fees.

Just apply for Select CC and DC at the branch. He should be able to get it without any joining fees.

I was told by the branch that it will be free renewal for my salary account. Depending on your salary account category - you need to check with your branch.

Just applied this week - on Thursday. I will be eligible for Diamond, based on my salary credit. Service experience has beeen good - at the Parliament Street branch. With PSU banks, it's more dependent on the branch than the bank.

for rupay select default renewal charges are 354 Rs. which can be waived off on spends over 1 lac.. For salary accounts these can be waived off too.. Check these screenshots for details..

Update - got my RuPay Select DC - no charges debited. Registered and used it to redeem some vouchers also.

For salary account, ussally employer needs tie up with bank.. Is it same here or just open platinum salary account..? Account Opening can be done online?

Ask your employer if salary credit account can b changed by filling a form. Usually employers having large number of employees have no issue with that. Having tie up with bank is not mandatory

Nopes - No employer tie up needed. You need to open at a branch, not online.. I did. Notified my HR about chaning salary credit account with a cancelled cheque. That's all.

Yeah - this is the best PSU Bank salary A/C and maybe one of the best Salary A/C in India. You're getting benefits worth atleast 10,000 for free.

Oh yes, I agree. Canara Bank has been the best among all PSU Banks. And I have nearly tried them all.

You’ll need to check with the branch- they maybe able to offer your mom Rupay Select DC at their discretion. If not go for the salary acc.
