Get Canara Bank RuPay Select Credit and Debit Card - at Zero Joining and Annaul fees

By now many of you would have realised the outsized benefits of RuPay Select Credit and Debit Cards. I recently discovered that a Salary Account with Canara Bank gives you their RuPay Select Credit and Debit Card without any joining fees. Some categories even get 'LTF', i.e. with zero annual fees.

As far as I know, this is the cheapest way to get a RuPay Select CC (and DC too) available right now.

You’ll need to check with the branch- they maybe able to offer your mom Rupay Select DC at their discretion. If not go for the salary acc.

Salary account and credit cards are not issued to retired employees and pensioners

If you meet Platinum criteria including any bonus or 1-time payment, you can try it by providing annual salary slips / ITR, etc.

Yeah. With bonus my March salary would qualify for diamond tier. Bu then April and may revert back to normal.

Yeah. Not the first time this branch(Palam) is rejecting according to their will. Earlier I tried to open PPF account with them buy they straight up refused saying the branch doesn't have facility. Went to Dwarka Sector-12 branch who also gav ethe same reason. Finally opened PPF account in Bijwasan Branch which was smooth. So activated net banking too from there. Will try there and update.

That restriction was there but it has been waived off now.
