Got IDFC wealth credit card very easily

Anyone looking to apply for IDFC wealth credit card, go through this post once

I used to apply for IDFC credit cards last year. Every time it got rejected. This time I went to a mall and applied through an agent there.

The process was very simple. He said there are only two criteria for IDFC wealth cc. I only wanted wealth.
1. Salary 4 lakhs
OR
2. Existing card limit 4 lakhs for c2c and at least 1 year old card

I applied c2c using my ICICI apay card with 4.1 lakh limit and 1.2 years old, contray to popular belief it doesn’t work for c2c. The agent did all the application, no salary slips, no documents. Don’t know what salary he filled, but I was shown wealth and applied. I was surprised though.

Later office address verification happened on phone, I said I wfh. I was also sent a mail on my office email to verify company address and name. Process was smooth, even though their portal sucks. Approved within 3 days excluding weekend. Got same limit as apay.

I know this card is devalued now, but still it’s good for offers and dreamfolks membership, which I guess doesn’t have any minimum spends criteria.

10 days earlier I got sapphiro LTF under alumni program, and also got axis select. This is my last application of the year. Next year, I am looking to apply DCB or regalia LTF.

EDIT on 31st July: I received my card. If anyone wondering the lounge access associated with this card. Here’s the detailed info I checked on dreamfoks.

Domestic lounge: 4/qtr, can use cc or dreamfolks card. I know people might challenge this, but IDFC’s partnership with dreamfoks is a bit different compared to ICICI. Hence can use both

International lounge: 4/qtr using dreamfolks card

Railway lounge: 4/qtr. Can take 1 guest as well on that card

Domestic Airport spa: 4/qtr

Grand Total: 16, definitely worth for a LTF card

Is it possible to apply for wealth card if holding millenia card or upgrade?

Existing other card with good credit limit.

You need a good in hand salary or itr for that

for wealth you need at least 5 lacs plus limit on other card. While applying wealth use other bank card and you need to enter basic details. Then it will show the eligible card

Read through all the comments, but still didn't get a clear picture. I'm in a similar situation, tried their portal few days back and IDFC wow was the only option (due to pincode). My office is in a serviceable pincode but I'm not due to WFH. How should I proceed?

Try again with a different number and this time use c2c with your highest limit.

You might need to check PIN code before applying see if it’s serviceable. Email IDFC to cancel existing application and try again. See if that works.

If office verification goes through , they will call u to confirm your name and mother's name like basic details . After that approval within a day or two . In around 40% of cases , they don't do any kind of verification .. Have patience, it usually takes 3 days on average . Fingers crossed bro !

They did both Phone and Physical Verification in my case. Phone Verification was done on 25th and My Physical Verification was done Yesterday. Now The Application is at Credit Review stage.

Earlier credit review stage used to be cleared in a day . From past 2-3 weeks , they are taking 4-5 days for credit review for almost all applications. Idk why . They may move your expected card delivery day by 3-4 days . Be patient.

Yeah , as per current trends . If ur CIBIL address is different from the address given in application, it's perfectly normal.

Even after entering 3L+ monthly salary and credit card of 4.8L limit only Millenia and Classic cards are shown. CIBIL has about 10 enquires this month though, got 3 CC cards for the first time.

Can anything be done to get Wealth in this scenario?

I disagree here lol applied for wealth at 10 pm did kyc next day 11 am and by 1pm the card is showing in IDFC app and got approval email.

Looks like whoever has a flawless record with their cibil or are pre approved are getting the card instantly. Whereas those who are skeptical are being stranded in credit review phase for days 😞

I mean having good CIBIL report usually considered while approving card easily. Also I have to tell I had 4 enquiries in august and not a single change in score. What’s the status of your application now ?
