HDFC BANK add on application headache.

I applied for my mother as add on 11th April at our nearest branch, and he said that my mother would get the add on card in 7 working days. On 20th April I called CC and asked if the employee has submitted the documents, but surprisingly no such formalities were done from the bank employee's side. CC asked me to contact the branch about the matter.

On 21th I visited the bank but the BM said that the employee was not there and asked for my number, so that she can call back as soon as he returns. She never called back so i wrote an email to HDFC bank grievance team but even they have not replied to me yet.

So technically my card and personal details and my mom's aadhar, pan and drivers license details have been mismanaged by HDFC, and now they are not even replying to my mails. What should I do next?

It frustrates me to the core that HDFC asks me to send letters till date for such stuff which could be done online. The say they do it for security reasons, and now have lost my personal details in the progress.

Edit:- I got a reply from their end, after i made an rbi ombudsman complaint and the person who handles the add on documents responded directly to me. As per him no documents were submitted by the person to whom i gave documents. When we took him on call he straight up lied to his senior that he submitted the documents and will check his bag again if he has it. This call was done two days ago and as per our call, the senior ordered the hdfc employee to submit the documents personally at my homw while video calling him. Till now i haven't received the documents from him.

I applied add on card online 2 yrs back for my father and daughter, it got issued immediately and received it in 2 days. Both have savings account with hdfc. Not sure the current process has changed or if you mom doesn't have hdfc account, probably the reason

i requested my RM for add on card and card was showing in app on next day. it's really smooth if you have account of the person for which you want add on card.
Unfortunately my mom doesn't hold an account with hdfc bank. So had to send the letter.
 
I think it's mentioned in their add-on application that hdfc bank account is needed for add-on for family members. (In hdfc app as well)

You can find grievance redressal email here in the forum. Ccing RBI Ombudsman may be a good push

on the edit part: confirms my belief that the seniors at HDFC still care about the bank (eg video call, doc pick-up from home) and it is the customer facing employees who tarnish the brand image for meeting their targets.
every time i had raised a complaint to pno, they took severe measures to ensure no mischief is done by branch employees.

Unfortunately my mom doesn't hold an account with hdfc bank. So had to send the letter.
i did a workaround.
i opened insta online accounts for my mom and dad. and then used their customer ids for addon.
no visiting branch, no sending letters, no human intervention. just video kyc at home and work done!

Yeah, i was quite surprised when he asked for video call. I even asked on the conference that if the employee could submit the documents, but he straight up said why do you want to trust this guy, I'll arrange someone else for you. I'll wait till Monday for further development. Also I don't think hdfc allows online account creation.

Same, I had applied on email few years back, was smooth.

Edit: Reading above, I realized, maybe I had too sent a filled form to Chennai, do not really remember. But never got engaged to local CC guys, and the process was smooth.
 
This thread is an update to https://www.technofino.in/community/threads/hdfc-bank-add-on-application-headache.11345/ , after talking to hdfc bank on 1st , never got any details or update from him.

He closed the ticket without any resolution and I received this mail from bank. When i called him on 4th of may, he said that he received the documents, but I would still need to submit all those documents including add on application again as HO thinks I sent them card reactivation form, although the form Boldly says ADD ON CARD APPLICATION FORM

I wrote them the above mail today, will wait for few days and lodge a complaint with RBI for mishandling of financial details against them.
